NUB Extractor by Azu at 1:59 PM EDT on May 31, 2010
Would anyone have any information on a nub extractor? Mainly for Tales of Graces files. I can the send the NUB files if someone wants to examine them. Also, is there anything on .se3?

Okay, I managed to extract them using NUBExt r6, but the DSP files aren't playable in WINAMP, even using VGMStream. The Test.exe say it fails on extraction.

I don't think we've added support for those yet.

We have somewhat schizophrenic support for stuff that comes out of NUBs. We support "idsp", as extracted by the old tool, and we support "is14", as extracted by the new tool (with BNSF header intact), but I don't think we support "dsp" either way. r7 doesn't work with the file anyway, I'd prefer to support it that way with the BNSF infrastructure I've already put in place. But mana doesn't like releasing his source for some reason (not that I have a setup for compiling VB anyway).

I can open them in Goldwave, but they have static in it, but I can here some voices. The other NUB files on the disc comes out as bnsf files, which works fine.

I managed to find this.

But, when I try to convert it, it says it "cannot allocate output buffer!".

This is because these "dsp" files aren't the standard L + R dsp files made with dspadpcm.exe

So, I have to find out what format they're in? Anyway I can do that?

The decoder output a text file.

Use r8, can be found here, it has support for: "dsp", "idsp", is14 ("bnsf" type) and "at3"!

I tested it with all types of NUB archives i've found.

And i didn't release the code because it's just a portion of spaghetti :o)

Thanks. However, the DSP still cannot be read by DSP-ACPCM or the VGMSTream plugin. Need some way to get them into wavs.

Okay. I didn't know if anyone was working on it or not. Sorry.=/
