Excessive reverb when ripping Kirby Squead Squad with VGMTrans to Midi/SF2? by marcoxD95 at 6:20 AM EST on February 25, 2024
I am not sure if I am doing something wrong but when I export Kirby Squeak Squad music to midi/sf2 via VGMTrans, there is excessive reverb in all tracks.

I even tried several midi players and its everywhere the same so the problem seems to be with the midi/sf2 file.

Does anyone know something about this?

You maybe want to use a MIDI editor and remove MIDI events. Probably the reverb is the MIDI CC 91 that is set too high.

Pretty sure thats not it. I already tried that. Actually it seems like the problem is with the samples inside the SF2 file since they are all full of reverb. Guess VGMTrans extracts them incorrectly or with the wrong settings from the 2sflib.
