- Hi, a Top Gear Rally rip would be awesome if possible, here's an example of the soundtrack's greatness: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wDU5dvd1xag

- Thank you, this format has good compatibility. And for USFs, are they unrippable for this game? (Just curiosity, since the XMs are fine)

- I'm pretty sure someone here a while back mentioned the N64 also uses the XM files so its probably the same thing.
I grew up with an AMIGA 500 so was pretty used to games using Barry Leitch's music like Super Cars etc.. His music is always A+

- Nah, they don't sound the same, the ones on the N64 sound SUPERIOR, just listen to the way strip mine's mod totally ruins the notes as they weirdly go up and down in pitch, you would know if you listened to the music on the original N64 since you were a kid.
I'm very happy with the mp3 files from the Top Gear Rally soundtrack, though I don't remember from where I got it, they sound as they should (though the European version of the title track is missing) making the module files a let down.
As far as I know, no emulator was capable of reproducing the audio as it should sound on original hardware, so it's a dead end.

- Will romhacks based on existing games can be possible?
For example I am one of the lead SFX editor for a Goldeneye hack called The Spy Who Love Me 64.
Getting a USF rip of the demo can be awesome, since my friend Trickle did put a lot of work onto it.
There also a custom soundset I did work on, but the samples were never used though besides piano.
There no other way to get a accurate recreation of the reverb heard in Goldeneye.
A personal USF rip can be awesome though.
