HCS didn't rip Battalion Wars. That was Emil007. If possible, could you post a link, or inform them of this? I just figure it's nice to give credit where credit is due... A website really should be made (PHP or HTML, or whatever, and all that) so that these things could be more clearly sorted out. I should stop being so lazy/sidetracked, and put together a (very badly) rudimentary page for these things... I'm not that good with HTML (let alone PHP), but I can cut+paste just fine...

I wrote up a TXT file that credited most of the rippers/distributors a bit back. Snakemeat used that data to make some list things that could be used to verify/rename/something some of the streamed sets. I don't remember the links for either of those though. Look a few paged back, it's probably in this thread somewhere.

And yes, converting these streamed sets to MP3 happens a lot. Lack of compatibility with other players, lack of tags, and somewhat large file size are probably to blame for this fact. Oh well. At least they're being put to use. Mouser X over and out.

Here you go. These threads are not the most up-to-date, but they credit hcs for those rips. I do happen to know that that SFA rip is circulating somewhere with hcs' name on it. (I do not know where though. I would like to get my hands on it.)

Star Fox Assault rip thread
Batallion Wars rip thread

Interestingly enough, the second thread just provides a link to the bonus folder.

I hope that this is a help... Or something.
Perfect Cherry Blossom by unknownfile at 10:59 PM EDT on April 20, 2007
While this is technically not a Gamecube game, the music is streamed in 16-bit signed stereo PCM. Because I am bored, and also because the player that comes with PCB sucks, I am converting the set over to DSP audio that actually loops.

I am currently searching about the player EXE to find loop points and everything, but for now, here's the first track in the bank:

My cherry blossom is more perfect than yours

Well, it appears there has been a set already converted and released, though the site that hosted it appears to be down.

Erm, is there a reason why the MM:NT files don't loop when played? I'm sure they're supposed to, as the files at Atomic Fire do, but is that stored in some other file, perhaps?

Just looking for info is all :3

The code seems to copy that part of the DSP header, so it must be located elsewhere.
by marioman at 7:52 AM EDT on April 26, 2007
I don't see any DSP files on Atomic Fire. What page are you finding them on?
by Tiberious at 10:42 PM EDT on April 26, 2007
marioman: They're not DSPs, but they DO have MP3s where it's clear the files are supposed to loop (though some just go right back to the beginning).
by marioman at 8:10 AM EDT on April 27, 2007
Oh, if they are just MP3s, there are about a million ways to get them to loop. Just because the MP3s loop doesn't mean that the DSPs were looping.

Wario World is missing the pause track and the treasure track (When you first obtain the treasure)
I have checked th DSP file but in winamp but they are both missing as far as I can tell.

MouserX, if you have every GCN rip, why don't you upload a torrent to The Pirate Bay or something?

Or something. Or something. Anything? Please? Screw your ISP! =P
