First, they're in fact very good remixes of Epic Flintstones, thank you very much.

Second, he's asking about the quality difference between these two videos, neither of which are Snow halation or Puzzle Room or Orkorborkor or any of that:

To which I say to the OP: I don't see or hear any quality difference between those two. YouTube's client-side video player is unfortunately a very large piece of fancy code which makes lots of decisions for you, like which stream it should render.

Try clearing your cache or using a different browser and perhaps the quality will become consistent.

I don't know, I find the second video better in quality, pretty close but not the same. But I said that I used the exact same settings for uploading the two videos, so my question was why the quality changed.

The first video is 480p with 128kbps AAC audio. The second video is 720p with 128kbps Opus audio.

Comparison of YouTube media encoding options

Does this make sense to anyone?

@TheUltimateKoopa
Yes, Youtube has a fucky streaming quality to begin with. It's better than Dailymotion and most streaming sites of course, but not by much.

I don't know hot to help the OP, this may be out of our hands, and also LOL @ Siivagunner. I don't know why people still find the same 5 jokes funny. They're stale as hell, and the one pushing the stupid snow halation garbage and weaboo crap is that has-been Triple-Q.
by Kurausukun at 10:37 PM EST on January 14, 2017
...you do know that Triple-Q left the team early and that he only contributed a small portion of Snow Halation rips, right?
by Jasper at 12:49 AM EST on January 15, 2017
man it's a hot one.

@kode54 : I don't really understand. The first video is 720p, and I said I used the same video codec, same settings. Why it can be different?
by kode54 at 3:42 PM EST on January 15, 2017
Ah, I see. youtube-dl was preferring the DASH streams, which peaked at 480p in the first video. The pre-muxed MP4 stream of the first video is 720p with 192kbps AAC-LC audio.

The second video has more formats, including 128kbps Ogg Vorbis and 160kbps Opus, which is at the original sample rate of the input audio, while the rest are all downsampled to 44100Hz.
