extract XA from PS1 Bomberman by agu fungus at 3:42 AM EDT on June 23, 2008
Hey, I happen to have a Bomberman game CD for Playstation, but I cannot find the right tools to extract the XA files from it. I can only find the XA folder but no files. Any help, guys? Please?
Make an ISO from the CD, open it with CDMage, extract all files that end with .XA or .STR (they have F attribute IIRC). Open those in FastElbja's ADPCM Player, and you'll be able to extract VGMStream playable XA files this way.
I cannot get to extract anything from the extracted XA files (they don't show anything on the ADPCM player. Besides the total size is 492mb. Is there another way to make them playable?
what are the files actually? you say .xa so they actually are .XA? or some other format.. Yeah when I ripped games from duke nukem total meltdown and others from psx I used PsxMC and it worked great so yeah if PSMplay doesnt work then try that also :)
I don't think that's the reason. When I extracted the XA files, it turns out that all of them (despite their size) are empty files, so I think it must be CDmage's fault.
Ahh I see.. are any of them small to test like 30 ,50 mb or something? upload them anywhere so we can try? Anyway if you can't then hope you find a way to get it working :) Which bomberman is it By the way since you say A bomberman game :P
The compressed rar is about 240mb, so I don't think it's a rip. Mind if I give you a download link of the game so that you can investigate it yourselves?
