The Official Streamed VGM Distribution Thread by bxaimc at 5:36 PM EDT on August 22, 2008
Due to the "Bonus" folder going down, this thread is made to share your "Streamed VGM" sets with people all around. Feel free to make requests :)
Starting off the distribution, here are some sets. I will be uploading more and more as time progresses and the no "Bonus" folder dilemma will go away............hopefully :P
Also, posting torrents here is also accepted since some people feel better using those ;)
I have made a request for these games in the past, but it has been a long time, so I'll ask again. Does anybody have rips or streams of the following games;
Baten Kaitos Origins (GC) Enchanted Arms (PS3) Jeanne D'Arc (PSP) Brave Story: New Traveler (PSP) Luminous Arc (DS) Fire Emblem DS
Preferably no torrents please. Thanks!
Cool! by nensondubois at 8:59 PM EDT on August 22, 2008
Request: I have many but due to common decency I'll post a four.
GC
Cubivore Preview Discs and Demo Discs (all regions) Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance Tetris Worlds
Wii Play (Wii) Super Mario Sunshine (GCN) Zelda: Twilight Princess (Wii) Trauma Centre: Second Opinion (Wii) [Dunno if that has actually been ripped yet.]
I would prefer not torrents, but if that's the only way of getting them then I'll do it.
Regarding the PangYa! streams: from my limited knowledge of perving inside files, the .GSPs appear to contain metadata for the similarly-named .GSB file. You should only need to load the .GSPs for playback. Tested with in_cube 0.38.
Peppyman: I can guarantee that an ADX was not used in Mario Sunshine.
Elven: Break what pattern? Mario Sunshine, Wind Waker, Luigi's Mansion, these first party games were all mostly sequenced. Wind Waker had a few streams, but LM and MS just the one each.

Then someone should make a .seq player. Some PSX games used .seq also.
If you're talking about the Bianco Hills.adx, i made that so it's not official (obviously, otherwise it would also be an .afc file :P). Yes, only one track is streamed. GC Sequences are much more complicated than psx/ps2 sequences so they are completely different (different sound hardware). A .seq player, even for psx is most likely to be never developed due to different drivers to a game's bgm so........hence why psf/psf2 exists.
I never looked at the technical aspect of .seq files mainly due to time. Hence why I'm not here as much as I used to be and my rushy typing, grammar and my constant editing of my posts.
just for the record, please don't let it turn out only me uploading sets. this is very tiring work and i have more sets to rip along with uploading the already ripped and then uploading the new ones. please don't just sit there and await new sets without contributing to everyone. i would apprecite help here :) my pc has been acting up on me lately so uploading is becoming somewhat of a problem here :(
A bit of streamed chiptunery from chibitech: Zero no Tsukaima - Fantasy Force (2007)(MMV)[PS2][GENH] This game came with the limited edition release of Zero no Tsukaima: Shōakuma to Shunpū Concerto for PS2. I've had the disc image sitting around for a year, finally got around to GENHifying it tonight. I had to manually add loops to three of the tracks, but they sound perfect.
[edit] doh, missed a few tracks (embedded in the executable!), I'll have 'em up as soon as I've looped this boss battle...

Here's the 3 tracks, two songs and a jingle. I'm not 100% confident in the loop on SLPS_205.02.00.GENH, but it seems to fit better than anything else.
downloading right now. I've been waiting for this particular set for so long! Thanks!!!
manakoAT Very nice. Will try to seed some sets though my silly small hdd doesn't do it anymore. Anything you guys liked the most while you checked the sets? (suggestions please)
An oldie I'm still seeding: http://thepiratebay.org/torrent/3991935/Wii_Streamed_Audio_1

As I recall, someone figured out how to extract music from Megaman Anniversary Collection and added support to in_cube. Are the extracted files uploaded anywhere, or could someone upload them or torrent them? Are they supported in vgmstream? Thanks!
Any chance there is a place to get baten kaitos 1 or 2 rips..? I have the ost but yeah low quality so would be cool to have the original format :-) great music too.. Thanks for those update musics in the is thread.. coolness :D
You'll want the vgmstream r443 (or newer) to play this. There were some changes to handle the format correctly; earlier rips and vgmstream versions were incorrect.
The problem lies in the Winamp output plugin, not in the files. As I assume bxaimc hasn't done anything to split out stereo sets from the multichannel files, it probably behaves the same way.
[edit] oops, sorry, I misread the question. bxaimc's response below is correct.
The DSP files only work if in_cube is alone, if in_vgmstream is present also, rename the DSP files to .THP, that way in_cube will play them. Sadly, support for this has not been added to vgmstream yet.
I have Universal Studios Theme Park Adventure, Kirby's Air Ride, and Fire Emblem. I've been meaning to upload Universal Studios Theme Park Adventure, but with no internet on my PC, I haven't considered it a priority. Maybe I'll see if I get it online... Mouser X over and out.
I renamed the Unlimited SaGa set (thanks to manakoAT for that) and thought I could share the .SFV file. That way you can have the set renamed and its integrity checked at the same time.
So, nobody can still record, rip, and upload music for Enchanted Arms (PS3), Brave Story New Traveler (PSP), and Jeanne D' Arc (PSP game music rip, not OST versions). I would really appreciate it if someone could do this. Thanks!
Hello guys! I have uploded some WiiMusic stuff i found in the ISO.
There are ~10 brstm files that all already works with in_cube, and i joined the couple of brsar files too - i don't remember if this will be usefull -. Most of the rest of the files are .carc, so, archive files i think...
I just noticed that rapidshare is shit now, so, you have only 10 slots for download... 87MB http://rapidshare.com/files/163715244/WiiMusic.zip.html
So use both VGMstream and in_cube maybe? If you're using Winamp, then rename in_cube to something like "in_zube" (something beginning with a letter that comes after "V"), and VGMstream will be used first and foremoust. If VGMstream doesn't support that format, then in_cube will be next in line. Hope that helps. Mouser X over and out.
Would anybody happen to have extracted the Animal Crossing City Folk music yet? Still not out over here for two more weeks, but I figure (if I could obtain the music) I could at least rename all the reused tracks in the meantime.
I was trying to extract the Castlevania Judgment music, but can't read the ISO. Was using Trucha, but it crashes when I try to open it (I've opened other games with it before...). It's only got two partitions according to RegionFrii... Does anyone else have trouble with the newer games?
Thanks a bunch! Took me awhile to figure out why it wasn't working... Didn't have .net installed! All the files are brstm and perfectly readable by vgmstream.
One thing is really peculiar about this soundtrack...there's about 20 copies of the same song. File hashes are exactly the same. For the purposes of uploading a sound collection, would those have to be included for the sake of download size versus completion?
EDIT: Do we also include voice effect files? There's about 2000 of them...
Also, there were a couple .brsar files in the audio folder. I don't recall what those are.
Ok. There's no point in including duplicate tracks though, is there? Especially when the CRC's are identical. I can add a text file that includes information on duplicates.
File includes dummy and hidden tracks. All play in vgmstream. Text file includes list of redundant tracks and my best guess as to the titles. Overall, good soundtrack, but it won't fit on a CD unless you play some back at only 1 loop. Composers were from noisycroak (SFX was done by Konami's internal studio):
noisycroak Co.,Ltd. Music Director: Hideki Sakamoto Music Tracks: Yasushi Asada
Does anyone know if Crash Nitro Kart for the GBA was ever ripped? If so do you knwo where I could get it from? Any version is fine, but I would prefer all,if thats been done lol. (GBA, GC, XBOX, [PS2?])
There's a GBA game that Soyo Oka (of Super Mario Kart fame) worked on - "Gakkou no Kaidan - Hyakuyobako no Fuuin / 学校の怪談~百妖箱の封印~" - according to her site anyway, doesn't say whether she composed or did sound effects or something else, but I'd suspect the former. It's not SapTapper compatible, and not already ripped, so... there's another idea at least~
bxaimc, would you know where the other versions are? I have looked around, (obviously not hard enough)but I can't find any format at all. I have looked on various sites, and the bonus from the old hcs64.com
I never uploaded them so of course they're not in the bonus folder. I'll upload them to sendspace later :)
