New server, yay by hcs at 6:05 AM EDT on October 19, 2008
Welcome, if you're seeing this you're on the new server, and have found your way to the new (or old) forum URL. The forum has been slightly rewritten and is running on a better system so hopefully things should seem nice and snappy. I had to wrestle briefly with time zone issues but that should be out of the way now.
Let me know if things are broken. I intentionally didn't transfer absolutely everything, but if there are things missing that you would like let me know. Anyone I've given web space to, I transferred almost none of it, so contact me if you still want it.
Oh, and as I've paid up Servage for a few more months, I'm planning to grant access to all the bonus stuff I had hosted over there, as it shouldn't matter if I use up all my bandwidth.

I updated the front page with a history of former hosts, which someone might find entertaining.
Ok, this is sort of a hacky way of doing it, but here's some links that ought to go to the old site: bonus bonus2 oldbonus
Note that it'll be a little while before this gets propagated to all of servage's and no-ip's servers. It only works every now and then right now, it should work "reliably" in a few hours.
Wooo! I was searching a torrent index for a Zelda TP trackrip, saw a thanks given to you in the description field of a dead one, went to Google instead, saw your forum, it was dead too, then went to the Apache index, clicked on the php, and here I stand, giving thanks for linking to that bonus content while I download from it just what I was looking for, seeing you every step of the way! *gasps* You are the center of the universe today! Oh, and good work on the USF libs too!
Oh, the main forum link works, a forum.php5 link didn't.
Are files on the [various] bonus folder using manakoat/snakemeat's naming scheme? (are they also ran through their dats so that duplicates are not distributed?) Just being picky, but given the dates I guess they should be ran with tools such as vgmtoolbox for better filenames among other things.
^meh. I meant to say it'd be nice that if streams were to be distributed for a certain ammount of time, it'd be nice to have them run through vgmtoolbox so that they're renamed accordingly (sorta) and a bit cleaner sets.
Congrats on the new server! Hopefully this works out well for you. Nice to see "bonus" open, but I think I have most of what's available there. Even if I don't, too bad for me. I don't have a way to download it anyway. But that's fine. Besides, if it gets "passed around" enough, it'll just be offline most of the time anyway. :P
Anyway, nice to see the transition went well. Mouser X over and out.
Or I can do what I do now and have the error page tell you to find the new address. That then decreases the number of wrong bookmarks out in the wild.

I have conceded slightly by adding a link to the forum on the error page. It is probably the largest error people are going to encounter with the new site, and while I don't want to make it transparent I also don't want to make it hard.
It seems they're doing fine recently. A year ago I was even considering moving my sites from DH to Servage, today I wouldn't even think of it -- no visible outages/slowdowns at all since January.
Servage was cheap but that's about the only good thing I have to say about them. My Dreamhost experience has not been without problems but those have been resolved promptly. So far, of course.

I have conceded the forum naming issue. forum.php5 now redirects (301, permanently moved) here, and the script preserves the query string so old topic links (like a surprising number on google) work. I finally analyzed the new logs and it turns out that almost as many errors were for forum.php as were for old bonus stuff.
