ADX Looping Error by wolupgm6 at 9:28 PM EDT on October 24, 2008

I've Encountered An Error, Both In In_Cube, And In VgmStream. Certain ADX Files (I'm Not Sure About All Of Them) Don't Loop After Five Or Six Times. Just Set The Loop To Twenty, Then Skip To The Fifteenth Loop. Usually It'll Be Silence.

Unfortunately, I Do Not Have The Sample File With Me, However I Will Upload It As Soon As I Can. If Anyone Else Encounters The Error, Please Upload The File And Save Me The Pain Of Uploading 14.5mb On Dialup...

Well try finding a consistent way to trigger it. Does the silence start right at the loop point, or does there seem to be a specific time?

in_cube and vgmstream don't share much code; I'm inclined to believe that the problem is with your output plugin or Winamp.

I'm Using DirectSound. The Default Output When Winamp Is Installed. I Even Re-Installed, But With No Change. The Error Appears To Be Right At The Loop Point. Maybe Its A Problem With The File Itself?

The Same Happens With FileWriter, Out_Mp3, CrossFade DirectSound, And Out_Smart.

ok, i've never had that problem with adx files and i've been looping songs around 1 min long for about more that 45 mins.

Hm, ok. It would be best if you could provide a specific file, and note exactly when it cuts out.

nevermind. i fixed it. it was because it's location was on an external harddisk. the harddisk was faulty and would occasionally stop transferring during the file. thanks anyway.
