Does the Playstation version sound the same as the arcade?

The PSX version uses CD-DA for the music. They did something to the mix and mastered differently. The result sounds worse than the arcade version (based on what I hear in M1.) The PSX version has obvious cracks and pops in the music, for some reason.

Ok, thanks for giving me the heads up on that, Smartone. BTW, are there ways to get XA files to play? (Like the HZ, frequency of it)

To play XA, use vgmstream.

Just download the Metal Slug Complete Box in FLAC :P Best version :P
