Megaman vocal tracks by Mouser X at 2:59 PM EDT on September 23, 2010
I've had various Megaman songs stuck in my head recently, which lead to a question. What Megaman games had songs with lyrics (and sung) in them, and what were those songs? I'll list off the ones I know of, but I'm fairly certain I'm missing some. So, if anyone here can add to this list to make it more complete, I'd appreciate it. And, in case this question cannot adequately be answered here, could anyone direct me to a better place to ask such a question?
Games I know of:
Megaman X4 - 1 vocal track (more?) Megaman X5 - 1 vocal track (more?) Megaman X6 - 1 vocal track (more?) Megaman X: Command Mission - 1 vocal track (more?) Megaman Zero (I don't remember which of the 4) - 1 I can remember (it's on the ReMastered OST or something like that) Megaman ZX (or is it Advent?) - 1 track (*.AHX, IIRC, in the ROM) Megaman DASH 1 - 2 vocal tracks (that's right, isn't it?) Megaman DASH 2 - 2 vocal tracks (that's right, isn't it?) The Misadventures of Tronn Bonne - 1, or is it 2?
What about Megaman Battle and Chase (PSX racing game)? Does it have a vocal track? What about the Megaman arcade games? I recall that the OST, at least, had vocal tracks, but I don't know about the game itself. However, I can't find my copy of said OST, so I'm not completely sure that it does, or does not, have a (or many) vocal tracks (clarification on this would be appreciated).
Is there any I missed? Those are the ones I can think of right now. Anyway, I appreciate any help anyone is willing to provide on this. Mouser X over.
The album "Rockman Theme Song Collection" covers everything up to and including MM8, I believe. Beyond that, you'll have to do your own checking, but check that one on vgmdb.
I assume you were referring to http://vgmdb.net/album/2177. I've seen that album, and I think I might have it on my MP3 player. However, it definitely doesn't cover "everything", because there's songs/games I listed above that are not in that album (namely MMX6, I think. I know there's a "Don't make a monkey out of me" sort of MM song, but I don't know what game it's from (I'm pretty sure it's from a MMX game, and due to the exclusion of it from the aforementioned album, I assume it must be MMX6). Besides, I don't like that song anyway).
I appreciate you pointing me to that album though. I'll look again to see if I have it.
As for the VGMDB forums, I (only very slightly) considered it, but I didn't know they had a forum, and I don't like signing up for things. However, I may sign up anyway, and ask there. But most likely not today. Thanks for the heads up though! Mouser X over.
Really, there's like 2 or 3 users with encyclopedic knowledge of Rockman music. Even if they can't match up all your CMs and theme songs immediately, they'll probably do all the research for you.
JILost: D'oh, you're right. I don't know how I missed that.
JudgeIto: Well I'll be.... I already have an account there! My last login was Jul 3rd 2008. No wonder I forgot about it.
Although I doubt anyone really cares a whole lot, I posted my question here on the VGMDB forums. Hopefully I'll get some useful responses. If anyone else is interested, be sure to check. It might be useful! Mouser X over and out.
Wow! Thanks a lot! That's quite a list. I almost entirely forgot about this. I've been busy with moving, cleaning, playing Minecraft, etc. Seriously, thanks a ton! Maybe now I'll be able to identify these that I have, but that are poorly organized. I knew I was missing some of them when I made a "list" (in comparison to yours, my isn't much of a list at all...). I think it's "Roll's Theme" (from Battle and Chase?) that I've been trying to identify... I'll have to check to be sure. Thanks again. Mouser X over and out.
For everything we're still missing at TMMN, GH Forums nicely fill the gap. The Mega Ran album can also be found there.
And as for more Doujin/Fan works, lemme see what I can gather together: OCRemix, to get the obvious choice out of the way. World Out THR Project. These guys are awesome! "THR Project" literarily means "Three Hours Rockman". R-MEGA. Contributor to THR. Episodes & Melody (Azell). Nice and calm remixes. For some reason, the artist likes to incorporate the Cheetahmen theme in almost every track. CocoRoco Refuge
There used to be a a couple more artists out there, but sadly the internet has eaten up their webpages already...
