Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing with Banjo Kazooie | X360 | DLC | .xpac extension by neo_chip at 10:26 PM EDT on June 2, 2011

I'm trying to extract all the audio .str files that are in this DLC which contains this .xpac file. It seems that this file is also used on some other SEGA games. I've tried using VGMToolbox via 'Advance Cutter' but I've had no luck extracting them. Any help would be great.

Use the RIFF Format extractor in the Advanced Cutter.

Then use this plugin in the XMA converter.

I tried using RIFF in advance cutter and when it was done extracting it came out as wave. The wave files unfortunately are all white noise.

I was looking for it to spit out .str or xma files. Perhaps that plugin might help me except that the link is dead. Can you re-up?

The cutter only cuts files. It does not convert them. Change the output extension to .xma and cut the file. Then download the preset and load it into the XMA converter to convert your files to .WAV.

I'm encountering an issue with some .str files. I'm trying to extract the commentaries [voices]
from the game, but when I use xmash v.5 and convert them using towav.exe it doesn't work.

Any help on this?

Still having problems encoding the voices to wav:


I'm using xmashv.06 to convert the .str mono files into xma then I used vgmtoolbox's xma converter [not using xmaparse.exe] using only a mono channel. and even doing that I'm still not getting it to come out properly [white noise].



Any chance someone can please guide me with this? The sample is in the above post.
