How to play ORG files? by Franpa at 9:32 AM EDT on July 27, 2011
Aside from http://www.cavestory.org/forums/showthread.php?t=1186 what ORG players are there? Google searches aren't helping as all the results relate to org as in web address extension etc.

Edit: Nevermind.

Probably worth mentioning what you found for when others wind up here on the same search.

kode54 has a foobar2000 component here: http://www.foobar2000.org/components/view/foo_input_org

EDIT: It's also notable that "org" is short for "Organya".

OrgMaker v2.05 works fine and is found on the Cave Story website. The original version lacks support for opening files via file association and the Winamp plugin I linked to doesn't produce the music very well.

Some clever person could probably make a newer ORG player based on the liborganya that I used. Or you could use converted XM files with a module player plug-in, which will also support nice volume ramping and flexible resampling modes.
