de Blob 2 music plain doesn't work by Mr. Glidder at 12:11 PM EDT on July 28, 2011
I've probably tried five or six different programs trying to unwrap de Blob 2's music (Wii version). The sounds and flairs come out fine, but the background music refuses to get extracted properly. The best I can get is the latest version (I think) of fsbext, which extracts the first two channels fine and fills the rest with trash. Pretty much nothing else can even open the files. No idea where to go next.

Really? Nothing at all? Guess no one knows an answer or cares about it.

Anywa, in the hope that bumping this will bring in someone who does know/care, here's a link to one of the files I've been trying to convert properly: http://www.mediafire.com/?7xj7edln0244tnx

The file has eight channels; they are activated in sequence to form layers of music. The first two channels get extracted fine. Channel 3 comes out distorted but recognizable. Channels 4 through 7 come out as just noise. Channel 8 is mostly silent with a guitar solo - heavily distorted near the point of unrecognizability - in the middle. These are the results when I use fsbext; no other program I've found can do better (in fact, most of them don't even open the file).
