Mario kart 64 samples by Dutchie at 1:32 PM EDT on August 1, 2011
hello,

i used a sample ripping tool to extract Mario kart 64 samples but there is alot of them missing

various drum samples, yoshi and other samples are not ripped when i used the tool

is this because there are 2 CTL/TBL files?
if so, can somebody tell me how to rip the other set of samples?

As far as I know that's it, from my N64 Sound Tool, same as srip I'd assume:

SubDrag: A slight derailing; Any chance of Paper Mario being supported by N64 Sound Tool at some point? Or is it just one of those games with indecipherable parameters? Either way, excellent job working on this. It supports so many great games with desperately wanted sounds (currently wading through Doubutsu no Mori's massive library and loving it). Thanks for everything.

Oh look suddenly people give a shit about the N64? But if I ask anything about Mario Golf, for example, if anyone knows that the 5 songs with question marks in the tags actually are, or if anyone's going to rip the PAL version of the Intro theme, it's basically "USF is dead because people are more interested in newer things".

Sadly, I have not found the format for Mario Golf Midi or Paper Mario. Maybe hcs has some info.

People are more interested in newer things because USF is dead.

So... Could you post said files?

And if USF is dead, then what exactly replaced it? (If anything at all)

Nothing. Put it this way.
"OMG USF is SOOOO 2005 or something"

Nothing...? I'd have to disagree. Lots of streamed sets are being ripped. If anything "replaced" USF, I'd say it was interest in easier things to rip, which are streams. After all, HCS is the one who developed USF, and he's also the one who developed in_adx, which eventually became in_cube, which eventually became VGMstream. Looking at it that way, I'd definitely say streamed rips is what took over after USF. That's certainly not nothing, and there's still a lot of streamed sets being ripped.

If, for whatever reason, that doesn't satisfy you, there's also 2SF, which could be argued to have "replaced" USF ripping. To say there's nothing is terribly short-sighted.... Mouser X over and out.

I'm pretty sure he meant replaced for N64 stuff. And sadly, no, no one's done any better.

indeed, so why is TUK whining again.
I hate when people make us same minded people look bad....

he will understand what that means....
