Convert sound effects from FF 13 xbox 360 by Delon at 8:45 AM EDT on October 1, 2011
Is there any program that is able to convert sound effects from Final Fantasy 13?
I would like to convert these files to 24-bit stereo or mono wave wav files.

C:\DVD 1 white data sys\sound\etc:
filelist_sound_pack.x360.bin
filelist_sound_pack.x360_us.bin
system_pack_list.wdb

C:\DVD 1 white data sys\sound\pack. Here is folders numbered from 0000 to 9035.
Here is some files from 0000 folder:
system_.x360.wpd
system_atbmax2.x360.scd
system_atbmax.x360.scd
system_attr_f10.x360.scd
system_attr_f11.x360.scd
system_attr_f12.x360.scd
system_attr_ft2.x360.scd

Tinker around with VGMToolbox's XMA converter.

How do you get VGMToolbox's XMA converter to work with final fantasy 13?. And vgmstream can't convert sound effects + music from FFXIII to 24-bit stereo wav.

Play around with the settings. and of course vgmstream can't convert it, it doesn't have support for XMA.

Only ps3 version works.
The scd files are different in the xbox 360 version.
I used ff13.bms in Quickbms. And now i can listen to both sound effects and music. :)

360 works too. Just need to convert.

One another thing i plan to do is to replace all music files with silent scd files. Then build a new white_imgu.ps3.bin and replace the old one with the new file. Then play it on ps3. The music will be gone and i should only hear sound effects. Then it's easier to rip sound effects from a specific enemy.

Bumping this thread with a bunch of noob shit.

Ultimate goal: have voiceover data/sfx in a DAW-importable format that I ripped myself.

If the 360 .scd files can in fact be converted to WAVs, I sure as heck can't figure out the proper settings to do so in the XMA converter itself.

hcs was kind enough to re-upload the FF13 XMA ToWav convert kit for me (here), but it is OST/music specific, and seemingly .xma specific as well(?).

Are there specific settings that will produce a higher quality conversion? (or any conversion at all lolol) The starting offsets apparently change from file to file, so I assume one has to dig into each .scd to find the proper one? The questions are piling up.

I'm pretty much 100% confused at this point with how to proceed in converting these .scds, but I'd definitely want to understand why the 360 version is the way it is in comparison to the seemingly simpler PS3 .scds.

Apologies if this out of the main scope of the forum.
