so this is actually a question aimed to Subdrag, is there any reason the n64 midi tool does not work for super mario 64, mario kart 64, pokemon stadium etc.? populair games are most often a primairy hacking targets, and yet, the midi tool does not support these yet, why?

yes, pokemon stadium's music is not streamed, why else would there be sample's stored on the rom...

They are a different format. It's a complex format compared to the one that is supported now. Therefore there is no support.

It's not impossible, but I haven't found it worthwhile to go through the difficult process of incorporating it because messian already has tools for it, etc, and it's not fully discovered.

Now you talk about it, the notes messiaen wrote about the music adresses etc, isnt that usefull information?

so far the only thing i got ripped using his tools is the BPM of the sequence ''-_-
pretty useless, but there was other channel information you could possibly use for some sequence ripper

What are you talking about? I think knowing the BPM would be pretty useful! Granted, one could probably calculate it manually, but still, it'd be nice to get it from the horse's mouth, so to speak.

i know the BPM is pretty important, but whenever you can only rip the BPM and nothing else, its pretty useless
