Dreamcast Redbook Audio by vajuvaju at 9:13 PM EDT on May 21, 2014
I'm trying to rip the audio from the DC game Re-Volt (which has Redbook audio) using foobar2000 and it cannot decode the sound (it shows the tracks, but only plays clicks and pops). I know the game audio has been ripped in the joshw archive, but that's in MP3. I want to make lossless rips of the game audio with foobar2000 and EAC. Any ideas?

You might want to try downloading a disc image, loading that in Alcohol or somesuch, and "ripping" from that.

Believe me, that's exactly what I did. I loaded a bin/cue image in Daemon Tools and tried to rip it. I had no problem ripping the PSX version of Re-Volt the same way.

Have you tried importing the image as a raw file in an audio editor like Audacity? I just checked with a cdi image and was able to get music that way, but i'm not sure about gdi images.

I did it! Apparently, it was the rip's fault. I found another rip which had all the audio tracks in *.raw files. I loaded them as Raw Data with Audacity and they work! Thanks for the help, guys!
