Super Mario Sunshine by dj4uk6cjm at 9:58 PM EDT on June 16, 2014
I have the super mario sunshine samples ripped here but they don't play in vgmstream and the super mario galaxy 1/2 trick to null them out doesn't work as they use this mSound.asn file and not a szs or Z2Sound.

Apparently mSound holds everything so any ideas on how to extract the samples from the Aw files?

did you try with wwdumpsnd 0.4? latest version says:
"0.4 adds Super Mario Sunshine support thanks to ichifish and Dolphin." http://www.hcs64.com/vgm_ripping.html

Ah didn't see that there :P I had v0.3 downloaded from another website, will try this thanks.

Hmm...not sure what to do here, I put wwdumpsnd and mSound in the same folder with the banks and run it but nothing happens. :(

After like 2-3 hours of work on this, I finally figured this all out and it works, I extracted the .wav from the .aw files. There are like 1680 files!

Don't ask me how, just enjoy :)

edit: btw, I didn't listen to all, but it sounds like samples of instruments, so people can create soundfonts with this maybe :)

Now it would be cool if there is a way to match the samples with some midi sequences, but where are the midis and how to do that?

Wow thanks bobbyK!!! :) really helpful and the midi files are here bro http://brawlcustommusic.com/temporarycrap/smsmidi.zip.

And don't worry, I'll get to working on this right away! I want to start off with looping the samples for ricco harbor. I will add all the needed fades and reverbs as well and post a demo so you guys can listen and compare it to the original if any needed changes arrive because I want a super mario sunshine soundfont too. :D

Sweet, I'm really looking forward to this. How exactly are you going about making the song? Is it just making a little soundfont that works with Ricco Harbor's MIDI? Also, I request that you post one version with the Yoshi bongos track and one without :P

Sort of, what I'm going to do is make sure the samples are fine tuned enough and tested and have someone else compile the soundfont as I'm lazy lol and I have a pretty good idea who might be able to help in that department :) I gotta see if he's willing to collaborate on it though as he's working on the same project as well.

I want to start working on each song one at a time at my own pace using the ripped midis as my backdrop since they are the original and they sound better :P plus ricco harbor is my fav.

Sounds nice. If possible, I'd like it if you could upload the compiled soundfonts so I can play around with them and such.

Download the SMS soundfonts(All instruments)

Can anyone create a soundfont file(like sf2.) with this and send it here?
Thaks a lot!

The hero who converted the midis is Furrybob.
