DKR's problems - Anyone else getting this? by Will at 5:19 AM EDT on June 12, 2005
Seems sometimes when I'm playing huge playlists with a slew of different formats, the tempo and pitch on my dkr usfs is like all fast/high and stays that way until I clear the playlist.
I'm assuming this has something to do with how they're also missing certain effects and stuff...?
I notice that some sounds are not quite like the original game. Apart from the issue with no echo for some instruments and things like that, some music is like more lively and "full" in my real N64, but it lacks that in this USF. I think this set needs a bit more tweaking.
And... I'm sorry, but I don't get that problem you say, because I'm on GNU/Linux (Knoppix Live CD) because my hard disk is corrupt, and of course I use Wine to run Winamp and don't have all that much music to play.
Anyway, even sounding different, I love some of DKR's music. THANKS
The only issues I have with DKR are missing instruments on a few songs (including Frosty Village, Spacedust Alley, and some other I forget at the moment).
Also, the songs don't seem to play as long as most N64 rips.
I've tagged the songs.I timed the tracks so, that if the song reaches the end and begins to replay, I made a fadeout. Its normal, that other Games Music have other or shorter endings. But by the way, I think the length of each song is more than long enough..
Ths problem with the missing instruments is really clear...I think, hcs noticed the problem of course yet. ;)
I dont know if he works on this problem, but we hope so.
