Is there an M1 compatibility list anywhere? by Vague Rant at 9:00 AM EDT on June 16, 2006
I know this is off-topic, but I've seen people talking about M1 here before, so I figured it might get an answer. I was wondering which games M1 supports at the moment. I'm currently listening to Mega Man (I have the QSFs, but I can't play them in foobar2000), so there's that. Anything else I should know?
From M1.txt: --- -b lists all games, sorted by hardware type -d lists the required ROMs for all games in a format compatible with MAME's -listinfo. ROM managers such as ClrMamePro can use this to automatically support M1. -l lists all games, sorted in alphabetical order ---
so the desired commands are... m1 -b > m1_b.txt = dumps all games, sorted by hardware type into m1_b.txt m1 -d > m1_d.txt = dumps the required ROMs for all games in a format compatible with MAME's -listinfo into m1_d.txt m1 -l > m1_l.txt = dumps all games, sorted in alphabetical order into m1_l.txt
M1 plays everything that's been included in MAME. Period. Get BridgeM1, because it has the best interface and good tracklists for almost every game out there. AFAIK it's been made by The Man himself, Arbee.
Scratch that. It looks like M1 just didn't like my particular ROMs. They happened to be clones rather than the originals, since the site I got them from sucked.
