Unheard Soundtrack by Harmony of Dissonance Composer! by Shnabubula at 11:52 AM EDT on September 8, 2015
Castlevania Harmony of Dissonance had one of my Favorite soundtracks of all time. The composer, Soshiro Hokkai has done very little work anywhere else, but recently he's started contributing to the Chibi-Robo series, starting with Chibi-Robo Photo-Finder! for the 3DS. Through communications with Hokkai, I was able to find out which songs he wrote for that game, he said the following:

"It's not easy to make accurate list, but roughly as below.
----------------------------------
composed
"Distance Test" (all music)
"Let's Race" (all music)
"Chibi-Tot Playdate" (most music)
story of Mr. Curator (TV-show BGM)
NostalJunk identify demo (half music)
etc...
----------------------------------
arranged
"Fridge Trouble" (all music)
(melody is from "Go Fetch, Sous-Chef")
story of Mr. Curator
(his dream theme, etc)
(melody is from his roomBGM)
etc..."

I bought the game and tried to hear the music that way, but it's riddled with intrusive sound effects and other issues, I'd very much like to be able to listen to this music and I think it's important to Mr. Hokkai's legacy. So yeah, I think this game, for that reason, deserves to be ripped in some form.

Hi Shnabubula, welcome to the forum! Hopefully someone here with 3DS experience can locate the music...

Does that mean he's also helping with the music for Zip Lash?

I loved Photo Finder's music and when Ironhax came out I thought I'd be able to see if I could extract the audio myself but it turns out it's not possible on that firmware. Hopefully someone around here tries to do it, I'd settle for a line-in recording but as you noticed there's sound effects always playing and there's no sound test/jukebox or anything to listen to the music by itself.

Mc Stoat yes, he just announced a week ago on facebook that he'd be doing all sound effects and some music for Zip Lash [with two other composers]

Hi all.

Its been a while since i ever posted here but i would like to ask... were the Zelda games re-ripped recently? I remember the USF rips for both games had slower tempo than normal. I think the Starfox USF rip had the same problem as well.

Is this fixed by now? Thanks in advance.

You're in the wrong thread, Soulis.

EDIT: Click the go4up link in the middle and not the "download now" buttons on the side.

Wow, what an incredibly scummy site. They want you to download some exe, and even when I ran it in a throwaway Windows VM it doesn't seem to work anyway. Can you put it on some other site?

Sendspace (even if it is pretty abusive, too) seems to work.

[edit]
Never mind, for the most part, I didn't realize you had to click the links in the middle.

As an experiment, here's the file on IPFS:

Yeah, sorry. Should've mentioned that you have to click the go4up link in the middle and not the "download now" button. These download sites are all so shitty.

I'd have uploaded it to MEGA, but it doesn't load up on my browser anymore(using an outdated version of Firefox).

I just got really frustrated with it, sorry to whine. Thanks for the rip!

Thanks a lot for getting the files 54634564 and hcs for the reupload! It's almost a crime that the music probably won't get a soundtrack release.

@Shnabubula
That's great news! I really like his music in both HoD and Photo Finder. Did he happen to mention who the other two composers are? I'd bet on Taniguchi being the second but can't even imagine who a third would be.

Chibi-Robo Zip Lash is out now, any chance someone could look into that game's music if possible? I've avoided most footage of the game so I would go into the game spoiler free but I hope the music is as good as Photo Finder's.

Chibi Robo! Zip Lash (U)
Banner sound + bcsar file and stream folder

There are some cseq files in the bcsar, don't know if they're music or what.

Wow, thank you so much! I wasn't expecting it this soon. I'll find out if any music is sequenced once I get my copy. Amazon decided to delay my order until next week for no reason.
