Terraria's Wave Bank.xwb by RukarioGyiyg996 at 7:40 PM EDT on October 20, 2015
Are there any CLI tools I can run in linux to extract the music off of this file?

I have the Linux version of the game.

It's not a command line tool, but this does a great job at extracting the music:

If you only want the music extracted, and not all the sounds, images, etc. Just put the "Wave Bank.xwb" in its own folder and point it at that.

EDIT: Oh, it can be operated through the command line. Check the bottom of the post in that thread.

If the file is less than 100MB, forget about it, they're crappy 48kbps WMA tracks. If it's the large new bank from the Mac+Linux versions, and possibly now from the Windows version, then they're MS ADPCM.

I've already uploaded a full set of them somewhere, let me see...

Here.

The SHA1 sum of my file is 9d31e9155e58da468bb70284cfd099561161369f

And the file size is 168.1 MB. So I presume this is the ADPCM versions of the songs.

EDIT: Thanks for the links guys.

Sorry, off topic post but I'll ask here.

kode54, I saw a post by you on the Terraria forums saying that you can take the Linux "Wave Bank.xwb" and use it with the Windows version.

I just tried that and the game gives me no audio output, not even sound effects. Any ideas?

I used the version from the Mac version, maybe that one's different?

Try this.

That one worked, thanks.
