Dancing Stage: Mario Mix/DDR Mario Mix by AlbertoCastillo at 10:14 PM EDT on August 11, 2006

I've been trying to extract audio from DDR Mario Mix even if it says it's not possible to play them yet.. I suppose the music files are just compressed into .pdt and .msn
Possibly the .pdt one, since I bet the other one are sounds.

Any idea of what I can try to extract the music files that are inside that file?

Well, I don't know if Konami changed the specs when porting DDR from PS2 to Gamecube, but if they didn't, you should give this little tool a try.

Thanks, I've just tried it, and I tried all formats, most of formats make only one small file which can't be played, vb2 never makes anything, it sarts searching and says not found, and xa2 makes 44byte files over and over, it never ends.

I've noticed that this format is also the used in Mario Party series..

Believe it or not, I have also tried (A while ago) a lot of things to try and extract some playable music from DDR Mario Mix... I didn't have any luck either..

It's sequenced. hcs has tried analysing the format before and all he came up with were dsps which were only SFX as well as samples.

That was Mario Party 4. I don't think I've ever seen Mario Mix, reputedly it has a much larger archive which might actually contain streams.

I see.. thanks, I haven't tried Mario Party 4, but it seems it's on the same format as I see in this page. What about sound effects from games like Paper Mario? Paper Mario seems to have all sound effects in a database file or .dll I can't remember properly.
