Yay! Now to see if someone rips Soul Sacrifice Delta, that game's music is pure bliss.
by Therius Shulk at 7:56 AM EST on February 6, 2016
Has the Vita just now been cracked or was it rippable for a while?
by hoodlum47 at 8:39 AM EST on February 6, 2016
Games are rippable but it's a hassle. You need to be on firmware 3.52 or lower in order to use the needed exploits in the Email app, and the exploit itself is not straightforward or really easy, but it basically gives us read/write access to most of the system but only for flies under 15MB (because the files are sent as attachments).

Basically to dump Vita games you need to modify one of the system databases by retrieving it through the email exploit, then changing an entry for a psp/ps1 game so when you select it to be backed up via CMA (the Vita transfer app) it dumps the whole memory card instead. There's also another step in-between if you want the dumped files to be decrypted but I think you get the gist of it.

Finally, a proper thread!

And you decided to start the thread by posting the untouched music rip from a game I always fought to find. Awesome!

Oh, and by the way, I don't have a nus3bank.bms script. I tried to get the script after some googling, but it didn't work because it went offline. Can anyone point me where it is?

@AnonRunzes, finding nus3bank.bms is the easy part. It's linked to in the first google result I see(a GBAtemp thread). Now, finding a working link to the atrac9 decoder is another thing.

EDIT: Found it. Just gotta know what to search for: "at9tool".

Damn, my firmware is far too updated. I'd wanna do a dump of Valhalla Knights 3's audio files, though it would suck if it turns out to be a big sound archive.
by AceK at 2:32 AM EST on February 10, 2016
I have firmware 3.35... not sure how to approach the exploit for further help in rips.

Only games I have atm are Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc, Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair, Persona 4 Golden, Ultimate Marvel VS Capcom 3, and Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward.

Here's the original instruction:

most of the work are going to be in app.db
1- add a value in table tbl_uri like the following
NPXS10000;1;ux0;
2- modify NPXS10000 eboot.bin path in tbl_appinfo to vs0:app/NPXS10027/eboot.bin
3- overwrite the modified app.db using email app and reboot
4- now use the browser to call the new uri with your target game . example :
ux0:app/PCSA00017
apparently near app will open the game manual.
5- minimize near then dump the game using the psp pboot trick using CMA (while the near app still open)

I have a PSTV at OFW 3.18. What do I need to do to rip music?

For the people confused about the process, Here you go.
by Vector Harbor at 3:59 PM EST on February 11, 2016
So can we request PS vita Games...?
by AnonRunzes at 9:20 AM EST on February 15, 2016
@54634564 - Got it.
by Uikri at 7:06 AM EST on February 20, 2016
EDIT: Also, joshw archive when?

Ah, darn it. My memory card's only 8GB, and I hadn't planned to get a new one for awhile.

I'll give it a try just to rip Valhalla Knights 3 and Tales of Innocence R
by Hotcakes at 8:49 AM EST on February 28, 2016
@54etc and @AnonRunzes

Mind giving an actual link? Searching nusbank.bms gives nothing but dead links, searching gbatemp for nusbank gives zero links that contain a link to nusbank.bms...

EDIT : at9tool is easy mode.

@Control have you had any success dumping from those games?
by ShrineFox at 7:37 PM EDT on March 23, 2016
@hoodlum47 I actually did dump Soul Sacrifice Delta. Here's the download:
http://s15.zetaboards.com/Amicitia/topic/8332513/1/#new
Not sure if that was you who requested it, since that post was from a week earlier, but here you go lol

Also, the Katamari download in the OP seems to be down so here's a new one:

@ShrineFox yep I've been to that thread, but I don't know if you noticed but the BMS script that was posted gets the filenames mixed up big time
by Moonboy65 at 7:20 PM EDT on March 30, 2016
has there been any attempts to rip the music from Senran Kagura: Estival Versus?
by Control at 8:35 AM EDT on March 31, 2016
Sadly I've had no success lately. I'm trying to find the time to do it but I implore others with better knowledge to have a crack at it.
by Moonboy65 at 11:16 PM EDT on April 4, 2016
@hoodlum the firmware on the link says firmware BELOW 3.55

is that still good to dump the music?

3.55 fixes the email app bug, anything below should work.
by Moonboy65 at 10:17 AM EDT on April 6, 2016
too late now, my PS Vita is on 3.57 lol

and I suck at dumping data from Video Games... except the DS obviously
by Moonboy65 at 9:26 PM EDT on April 10, 2016
still nothing for Senran Kagura: Estival Versus?
by ultramario1998 at 10:37 PM EDT on April 28, 2016
Hey, um... I know it's a long shot, since there doesn't seem to be any interest in Vita ripping, but I'll ask anyways.

I just barely beat Persona 4 Golden. All of the music in the game is available online... except, it seems, for one track -- the awesome superboss theme.

If there's anybody out there that could point me in the right direction, it would be much appreciated.
by Therius Shulk at 9:33 PM EDT on May 12, 2016
Could somebody rip the music for God Eater 2?
by The12thGripper at 8:16 PM EDT on May 21, 2016
@ultramario1998

Are you talking about this song?: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EDr_krEQNrU
by RebeccaSugar at 7:57 PM EDT on August 29, 2016
Alright Bitches, Vitamin is out.

I'm gonna rip Persona 4, Wipeout and Killzone. Brb.
Anyone have any requests for games I should get?
by Vector Harbor at 8:14 PM EDT on August 29, 2016
@RebeccaSugar

Tales of Innocence R Please pls ?
by RebeccaSugar at 9:31 PM EDT on August 29, 2016
@Vector

I'll check my local gaming shop (or gamestop) to see if they have it, or else I might see If I can meet anyone up to let me borrow the game real quick.
by Control at 5:25 AM EDT on August 30, 2016
Valhalla Knights 3???
by basin at 5:27 AM EDT on August 30, 2016
You do realize you don't need Vitamin to dump?
It also doesn't solve the issue of high memory mode games.
by AnonRunzes at 6:50 AM EDT on August 30, 2016
@basin - Do you have any suggestions?
by AnonRunzes at 6:38 PM EDT on August 31, 2016
The .vpk files are actually easy to open than I expected - but only when decrypted. Just use WinRAR to extract them.
by Vector Harbor at 9:27 PM EDT on August 31, 2016
Also did someone create the PS Vita Music Archive ? I'm just curious to see this soon
by basin at 11:51 AM EDT on September 1, 2016
vpk files are just zip files.
I usually just pack files in a zip then rename the zip.
by Control at 12:55 AM EDT on September 6, 2016
Should this topic be pinned on the front page to help keep it going?
