The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time ~ Fire Temple (version 1.1) by valiant at 6:50 AM EDT on September 25, 2006
I noticed that the version on the current rip is the 1.0 version of the "Fire Temple"-track with the original muslim chant. Has the newer 1.1 version with synth vocals been ripped, too? If not, would it be a lot of work because it's basically using the same driver but just some different instruments?

It has not yet been ripped.
It would likely be no more difficult, but I'm not really into ripping USFs anymore.

NOOOOO!!! Say it's not true!! I guess you could leave it to Josh for a while.

On the subject of OoT, is there any particular reason the "End Credits B" track is missing? The only possibility I can come up with is that it uses the same data as the Lost Woods track, only adding a few new instruments and then removing the original instruments later on and... I have no idea what I'm talking about. But anyway. It's probably my favourite tune in the entire game and its exclusion saddens me. : (

That theory is my guess, as well, considering also that the alternate version of Kakariko Village is missing.

Yeah. The soundtrack is incomplete. Shouldn't it be completed by now?

It should be. Get to work!

Josh...? My names Josh.

'k.

The OOC music system is weird. It has two music channels that allows two tracks to be played simultaneously.

What's wrong with 2 music channels? It can be handy: one for ambient music, 2nd for music, or first for fanfares and 2nd for music. I guess many games use it.

Anyway about the fire temple different music: i made a mp3 by loading the 1.1 rom in project 64, turned on the gameshark cheat codes for 'sound effects off' and 'moon jump', 'infinite timer'(for the timer in the fire temple for not wearing fire tunic), 'infinite hearts'(for the bats in the first room) on and moon jumped to the fire temple with young link and then let the sound plugin record the music once i enter the fire temple.
If i had knowledge on how to make an USF of a rom and a project 64 savestate i could make a very unoptimized usf of it.

there is nothing wrong with two channels, it is just the way it is implemented, as there always is two channels running and when the music changes two calls are made.
