Emulator Help by parrothead at 12:46 AM EST on December 23, 2006
Okay. I used all of the emulators available, but they are not working. I believe I'm missing a plug-in.

You used *all* of them? Really? That's impressive... So, you tried ALL the NES, SNES, N64, GC, Dreamcast, PSX, PS2, Genesis, Master System, Atari, CD-I, Virtual Boy, Intellivision, 32x, Sega CD, Sega Saturn, NeoGeo, NeoGeo pocket, and Turbo Graphics 16 emulators (I'm sure there's some I forgot. Help me out here)? You've got a lot of free time on your hands...

I think what you actually meant, though, was that you tried all of the N64 emulators. If that's the case, do you have a 3D card? What operating system are you running? What happens when you try running the emulator? Does an error message come up? If yes, what does it say?

Beyond that, I don't know how to help you. Your question is fairly vague. Mouser X over and out.

I do have a 3D card. What do you mean "operating system"?

Every time I try to turn on Project64, it gives me an error saying this \/:

Direct3D failed to initialize
Error code: 8876086A
D3DERR_NOTAVAILABLE

Wait!

After I encountered a new plugin, called Rice Video 6.0, I tried it out, but only sound is working, and all I see is black. Another error popped up, while it said "No fragment shader support". What does it mean?

It means your video card lacks what is needed to emulate with full fidelity, try toning down the combiner usage...
