The Sweétch.
Here you go! Spelled it weird to obfuscate search results. It's pretty useless right now, but give it a few months or weeks and you'll get something purity dang handy.
I've yet to check the audio documentation, but you'll see how it works there. Maybe we can learn something about the new formats it uses for future rips, if any.

I hope this isn't BAN worthy of anything (LOL), nudge nudge, wink wink. (;

Is it really such a wise thing to be linking that here? I would think just mentioning the fact that it's leaked is good enough. It's easy enough to find with a quick Google search(not that I've done such a thing :) ).

NICE!! Thx a lot!

What an amusing attempt at keeping the ninjas away.

What an amusing person.

lol, intellectual property is hilarious. As if ideas can be owned - classic!

I like the obfuscation. Very tricksy! :)

There is an exorbitant subsumption of circumlocutory periphrasis here.

Don't want to make a thread with no substance, so I'll just say here that Switch game asset dumps are now happening. Someone has dumped all the ARMS files, but hasn't uploaded them anywhere yet. This tweet has a screenshot of the models:

It's basically just little endian BFSTM/WAV
by Vector Harbor at 8:15 PM EDT on July 7, 2017
I'm sure this is just some testing, sure they got the soundtrack but that's not gonna be a thing for a while.
by bxaimc at 11:05 AM EDT on July 8, 2017
Secrets ;)

Also, Arms is 48khz BFSTM (BFWAV for the main theme and character select), Splatoon 2 is 44khz, and BotW is also 48khz.

Shhhhhhhhh

@bx: Should I be setting up switch.joshw.info?
by bxaimc at 1:17 PM EDT on July 8, 2017
Nein, too early. This stuff isn't publicly available yet (not my decision). Don't wanna be letting Ninty kill the party early while we're ahead of the game. The booze hasn't been served yet and the male strippers haven't shown up.

The music has all been uploaded to youtube, why the hesitation to share the music files? I would think uploading the music to youtube is more likely to get Ninty's attention.

It seems like these people are just attention whores, tbh.

Because the cart dumping process is apparently a secret (I'm curious too). BRSTM conversion were made to be passed around instead of the original BFSTMs, which were then used to upload to YouTube. Also, that's us who put out that playlist and the couple of songs in the splatoon playlist are only ones that have been heard publicly already but everything in the splatfest demo has been dumped. Plus, regardless if it gets nintys attention, nowhere does it say on the playlist or the videos that the raw files were used. For all they know it could just be a line-in recording.

>Because the cart dumping process is apparently a secret
I don't see what the cart dumping process has to do with the files extracted from it. They dump the raw romfs with their secret technique that we don't need to know and they extract the files from it. Those files give no information on how they were dumped.

>For all they know it could just be a line-in recording.
It's not like Nintendo is retarded, it's easy to see these console hackers posting about their ability to dump game's RomFS sections all over Twitter:
https://twitter.com/SciresM/status/883212988097810432
https://twitter.com/ylws8/status/883032214300225537
https://twitter.com/ShinyQuagsire/status/883045974024769536
And these same people keeping @'ing @brawlbrstms. It doesn't take a genius to put 1 and 1 together.

In the end, we're not given anything else but sound data to work with. They keep everything else. Same thing happened when Wii U and 3DS were being dump. We had to keep it hush hush for a while otherwise the sharing would stop and vgmstream wouldn't be updated.

That soundtrack is too good to not be posted here! Where can I get the original files from?
by LuigiBlood at 9:26 AM EDT on July 9, 2017
"For all they know it could just be a line-in recording."

Good luck recording Tutorial theme without sound effects. Literally impossible. I believe it's not even part of Squid Beatz 2.

Also if you can find info that RomFS can be extracted on Twitter: It's public knowledge. (If they don't want others to know they should stop using Twitter.)

I found a pretty damn nice BotW music collection, even tagged and numbered. It must come from the Wii U edition though ~ what I have certainly sounds like it was converted from streams (mostly 32KHz.) I suppose the Switch version will sound better being 48KHz but it already sounds pretty reasonable to me, much better than fan recordings that are floating around on youtubes.

But anyway, shush.
by rebooter23 at 5:31 AM EDT on July 10, 2017
Lunar, we already have BotW streams from WiiU. What we need is the original Switch files.
by starerik at 12:45 PM EDT on July 10, 2017
I am amazed that Switch version of BotW is 48kHz, I thought Nintendo would go the lazy route once again.
by bxaimc at 12:50 PM EDT on July 10, 2017
They did with MK8 Deluxe. it's still 32khz.
by starerik at 10:50 AM EDT on July 11, 2017
I figured.
by rebooter23 at 6:34 PM EDT on July 11, 2017
>They did with MK8 Deluxe, it's still 32khz.

Could be that the originals on WiiU are 32kHz only so they cant upscale.
by kode54 at 9:46 PM EDT on July 11, 2017
Upscaling gains no quality.
by Knurek at 12:15 AM EDT on July 12, 2017
@kode54: So, you think Nintendo doesn't have lossless versions of the songs backed up?
by Kurausukun at 12:51 AM EDT on July 12, 2017
Oh, they definitely do. Nintendo is just obsessed with music at 32KHz. It's much more of a surprise that BotW is 48KHz.
by bxaimc at 10:00 AM EDT on July 12, 2017
Not good enough, needs to be 96khz!
by starerik at 11:34 AM EDT on July 12, 2017
Everything needs to be 192kHz/24-bit FLAC.

2.8224 MHz DSD all the way.
by soneek at 7:53 AM EDT on July 13, 2017
Knurek, can you set up switch.joshw.info? I believe PCM_LE support just needs to be added for BFSTM and vgmstream will support everything we've seen so far. I have the okay to start releasing stuff soon.
by Knurek at 10:44 AM EDT on July 13, 2017
'k, I'm making the directory, JoshW will need to add it to the DNS record though. Upload sets either way.
by hcs at 12:51 AM EDT on May 14, 2018
Hm, missed my chance to pin these on IPFS last year, doesn't seem to be on the network anymore.
