Bomberman 64 - The Second Attack (tags) by Lunar at 5:25 AM EDT on October 26, 2007
I noticed the Bomberman 64 SA USFs haven't been tagged yet, and I'm willing to step up to the plate if someone else hasn't already done so. No repeats of the train-wreck that was the Paper Mario TTYD tags if I can help it... I've searched the forum with several queries and couldn't find any information on people tagging it, so I presume I'm good.

Also on a side note, I just downloaded that Ganbare Goemon Mononoke Sugoroku soundtrack. I didn't even know such a game existed. It's like a little bonus extention to the other N64 goemon soundtracks... so awesome, HAPPY BIRTHDAY ME.

To the best of my knowledge no one has expressed an interest in tagging Bomberman 64 - The Second Attack. So I'd say you're probably in the clear.
by marioman at 8:21 AM EDT on October 26, 2007
Omochao renamed the .miniusf files a while ago, but he refuses to learn how to properly tag them. So, I would think that you're good to go.

Good luck.
by hcs at 11:12 AM EDT on October 26, 2007
Doh, I'd missed that. Maybe I shouldn't pretend to actually be on top of USF tagging issues.
by Lunar at 4:58 PM EDT on October 26, 2007
I missed it too...

marioman, do you have those renamed files? I wouldn't mind taking a look, I'm sure it'd be very helpful with some of these tracks.

I also used to have a load of Second Attack mp3s with track numbers and titles. I've managed to find the filenames through google, which has been a great help, but having the actual files would be better. Does anyone know the rip I'm talking about? I remember tracks having some static on them... if not, not to worry.
by marioman at 6:00 PM EDT on October 26, 2007
Nope. I had them at one point, but I accidentally deleted them recently. The Megaupload link fir them is dead now. Someone else had them (Mouser?) but I cannot remember who. (Or maybe Omochao will upload them again for you.) Sorry I can't be of more help.

Bah!

Well, if anyone has them, that'd be a great help, as I'm not making much headway in finding that rip.
by marioman at 7:04 PM EDT on October 26, 2007
Galbadia Hotel has an MP3 rip. For whatever that's worth.

There's also a load of stuff here. It may be the same thing as the GH rip. Not sure.

I played through the game a while back and was able to get names for all but one track, which I could swear I've heard in-game, but can't exactly place.

Anyways, here it is:

Uh well it looks like you've tagged the game already then... sigh.

Just accept these tags instead. They're not much different to how mine were turning out; only some minor differences not worth noting.
by marioman at 9:12 AM EDT on October 27, 2007
IIRC, Omochao's tags had a few unknown tracks. So, this set of tags would have more tracks identified.

Thanks for putting them up Sairin. Did you check the rips that I posted to see if you could figure out what the unknown track is? It sounds like the theme that would be played if a timer was running out or something. If you go ahead and submit them, you can always update the set later if you identify the track.

To put them on the site, E-MAIL them to hcs. I don't think that there has been one set of tags that has made it from a file hosting site to USF Central.

Oh and by the way, if you want tagging credit for the set, be sure to put your name in the "tagger" box.

Thanks a lot for the tags.

I have checked those pages. It appears the links on that BombermanBoard are down, but I believe I have them all accounted for (same with the rip on GH). I've even played through the game a second time, but didn't hear the tune anywhere, so maybe I'm just imagining things. I do have a titled usf set with (which might be Omochao's) that lists the track as "Bomberman in trouble," but I'm hesitant to use that without knowing where in the game it plays.

Lunar, apologies for stealing your thunder. Are or were you playing through the game to get the track names? If so, I know that there are two endings, one in which Bomberman has obtained the light and shadow stones and the other in which he hasn't. On my plays-through, I did the former. Maybe that track appears somewhere in the other route. Just a thought. I might play through again sometime and try it myself.
by Lunar at 2:02 PM EDT on October 27, 2007
That's fine. The thread - one way or another - resulted in tags surfacing, which is what is important. I have absolutely no idea how to avoid this problem in future... I guess it's down to the site.

Anyway, I wasn't playing the game (haven't ever properly played it) so I can't help you there. I was using the galbadia/khinsider tracks for comparison to the usfs, then comparing the titles on the galbadia rip to another list of titles from an old rip I no longer have (those titles are more comprehensive than galbadia's, plus they had track numbers.) That only worked up to a point though, and I was beginning to hit obstacles as I reached less obvious tracks. I never even got as far as timing them.

I like your tags; they're very comprehensive, which was exactly what I was going for (although if I wanted to be really anal, I would have used 'I' and 'II' instead of '2nd mix' for the tracks that use it, and have separated the composers with a comma rather than a slash ;) infact, I might do that myself anyway.)

No idea about that last track. It wasn't in any mp3s I downloaded. However, one of the filenames on that old rip is 72 Bomberman in Trouble.mp3. I guess that's where omochao got it from.
by marioman at 3:09 PM EDT on October 27, 2007
*Strikes Phoenix Wright pose* HOLD IT!

Doesn't Bomberman or Pommy almost get destroyed in the game somewhere? I am in no means familiar with the game, but I seem to remember something along those lines.

I guess at least the title "Bomberman in Trouble" will help you narrow it down a little.
by hcs at 5:25 PM EDT on October 27, 2007
Uh, Josh? Can I just go ahead and slap this together for a Complete? It's been so long I don't remember if we had an understanding about tagging. Or is there one more track to be tagged?

It looks like there's one more tag, but the track is only a 30 sec. long jingle. I don't know if sairin wants to try to find a tag for it, but I would just slap "Bomberman in Trouble" on it and call it finished. If it is wrong, I am sure that some rabid Bomberman fanboy will correct it sooner or later.

Lies. Bomberman series has great music.

All right, here's what I have done for Bomberman 64 2:

by marioman at 9:26 PM EDT on November 2, 2007
Thanks. Hopefully this will help identify the tags and get this thing finished.
by Omochao at 2:38 AM EDT on November 3, 2007
No problem. The reason it took so long was because I needed to look into a couple of tracks I KNEW I had labled wrong.
by Bomber_Al at 6:18 AM EST on November 7, 2007
Sup everyone, I'm from a Bomberman Broad
Sorry for dead links, because myfilehut is always dead. I try with XoomFile, but it was dead on way, when I try reupload again. So in the end, I picked megaupload.

Here some mp3 that not include in Galbadia Hotel

Sorry for not upload all files to one zip file, because I'm dial-up.

Anyway...enjoy! Oh and give full credit to Josh W for ripper it!

by marioman at 7:20 AM EST on November 7, 2007
Thanks for the uploads. Don't worry, Josh will get credit.

By the way, since you seem to be able to identify all of the tracks in this game, could you give a listen to the track labeled "62 Unknown" in this set of USF tags? It is the only track that we cannot identify, and if we can get it tagged, then the set will be finished.

Thanks again.
by Bomber_Al at 5:52 PM EST on November 7, 2007
Sorry bro, I never encounter that music on the game, maybe something do with ending that sairin talking about or maybe something do with Pommy Evolution because I never see "ending 1" and all Pommy kinds evolve.

(Sorry for my english grammar)

However you are so freakly sweet for finish it!
I will start covert it to mp3, soon as possible, and show to public. Of course, I will show full credit.

Edit-Or maybe something do with Amusement Planet because the sound is so similar.
by marioman at 8:30 PM EST on November 7, 2007
Thanks for checking. Hopefully this will help narrow it down.
by Lunar at 4:32 AM EST on November 23, 2007
Bump. Any new info regarding that track? Or should it just be written off as Unknown and the set released?
by marioman at 8:54 AM EST on November 23, 2007
No new information. I say that we just leave the one track marked as Unknown. These tags and the Rush 2049 tags are ready to be uploaded.

EDIT:

I just found one more place where the song could be played. In the opening movie (where Bomberman is in the spaceship with the unhatched Pommy egg), there is a scene where the ship is being sucked into a black hole and Bomberman is running around the ship frantically.

Does anyone who has the game know if the theme is played during that scene?

If it is not played there, I say just release it as Unknown and wait for someone to come and correct us.

EDIT 2:

Found a video, but there is no sound. I would say that there a few places in that video where that theme could be played.

If anyone can check this out, please post!

Nope, isn't used at all in the whole duration of that :(
by marioman at 10:32 AM EST on November 24, 2007
Alright. Then I say just release the set. The track is only a 20 sec. loop and I don't think that anyone would be too upset about it not being identified.
