Actually, Super Mario Galaxy is available for playing at Gamestop. I saw it there yesterday. I can't believe it's the full game, of course. It's probably a demo. Personaly, I'd bet that this torrent is a rip of that demo. It certainly could be, since I know for a fact that there is a playable demo available at Gamestop.
I haven't followed the link, but I don't see why this (and nearly everything else) is automatically fake, until proven otherwise. Where I'm from, you're innocent until proven guilty, not the other way around (which apparently is what people default to on the internet). After all, how does it hurt to say "It could be real"? Especially when it (often) does hurt to call it fake first off?
I've heard people say "I've seen too many fakes, and gotten my hopes up too many times to believe anything anymore." You know what? Just because you were too gullible, doesn't mean you can be a jerk to others. Learn from it, and take a "wait and see" approach. How does that hurt anyone?
Anyway, I guess that's my rant for the day. It just really bugs me to see people dismiss something before it's even given a chance. Mouser X over and out.
I found the torrent right after hearing about Gamestop, and then posted it here in case it was of interest to romhacking folk. Whether it's the full game or not I wouldn't know. I haven't torrented it myself, but I wouldn't have posted it if I thought it was fake.
Anyway, it's quite alright Mouser X; I'm used to tactless 15-year-olds on the internet by now.
With a well known Wii releasing group's name behind it there is some credibility. And it's not like its that far before release... all indications seem to be that it isn't playable with current mod chip technology, but its only a matter of time now that it's become torrential.
