Gamecube music archives? by Magnus_Tsunami at 8:54 AM EST on January 7, 2008
now, I've read a lot about playing music from gamecube games using the in_cube plug in, but is there a site that has either extracted just what's necessary to hear them, or do I have to download the actual gamecube iso's themselves to be able to listen to the game music within the iso?

if someone could kindly let me know, as I am both a ripper of game music as well as a collector, I did Battlefield 2 using fraps and a wave editor hehe.

hcs64.com/bonus/Streams/

A vast collection of streamed music. Be gentle with downloading it, please.
The archives are organized by audio format. Most of the Gamecube games are in the GC directory (for Gamecube-specific audio formats) but several are also in the ADX directory.

Just be careful though. I have had a few downloads get cut off recently. Be sure that you use some type of download manager that can resume a stopped download.

protip: don't use firefox, as it doesn't know if the downloads fail or not. ie is the way to go for that kind of stuff.

Thanks Heaps Guys, I really appreciate it, I will take it easy on the downloads, but there is heaps I want to grab :D

in_cube is an old plugin and vgmstream should be used instead

VGMStream r579

If you must link somewhere link to the vgmstream page.

Gamecube Music Archive by Sound Reaper at 2:50 PM EST on February 28, 2009
Hello, I realize why the archive doesn't exist anymore (well, at least the original). I was wondering if there was an alternative way to get the Archive (torrent or alternative server perhaps).

I'll be honest, I'm not sure how to answer this question properly here.I have a pretty vast (but lesser known) history of game ripping myself.
In the event that no archive nor alternative to an archive exists, then just let me know.

why does no one point him to the tracker??

Well, the original post is over a year old...

This was from today! :P
by fridgey at 8:16 PM EST on February 28, 2009
Well yeah, but it wasn't like everyone was ignoring the tracker, that post had only been there an hour when you replied ;D
by Sound Reaper at 8:56 AM EST on March 1, 2009
Hmm, there are only 30 torrents active in the tracker, and...not many of them are gamecube music related. More than likely, I'm missing something. Let me know how that site works (because I'm probably just being a noob with this tracker concept).
by bxaimc at 6:23 PM EST on March 1, 2009
Um, yea, of course the number of torrents are small, the tracker was just recently opened.
by hcs at 6:28 PM EST on March 1, 2009
If you look over at the tracker thread you'll see that we're taking requests. I don't know if "all GC streams" will get a response, but you can try it.
by Sound Reaper at 10:08 PM EST on March 2, 2009
Thankfully, I don't sesire every single GC stream, only 2 (given that they enev exist. In the event that they DON'T exist, I would like to know the tools needed to extract said stream from a GC ISO. I have them and if they need to be made, I will handle the process myself and share them via torrent (OR send them to a main member to have it archived), whichever way works.

I may not have done any gameripping work in a good year, but I used to be serious about it at my prime.

Now that we are in 2011, hcs64.com/bonus/Streams/ is dead.

Any other good archive? emuparadise has incomplete or sometimes broken archives!

Well, at least for me. I can't play Super Mario Sunshine!
by hcs at 7:00 AM EDT on June 12, 2011
Feel free to request streams in this thread, if they are not already on the tracker.

There is only one Super Mario Sunshine track on emuparadise, as that's the only one that's streamed, it ought to play in current versions of vgmstream.

Here's the gist of it: If you want streams, you come here, not anywhere else. Most of the time, everywhere else has streams that come from here and are posted over there.
by Master_E at 5:27 PM EDT on November 1, 2011
And because I'm an idiot, hcs. How exactly do I tap into this torrent? I've tried pasting the link into bittorent, but it's a no go.
by Mouser X at 10:01 PM EDT on November 1, 2011
What torrent? I read the last page, and no one linked any torrents at all, anywhere on the previous page. A torrent site was linked, which works in your web browser, but no torrents were linked.... Am I missing something? Mouser X over and out.
by Master_E at 10:14 PM EDT on November 1, 2011
So it isn't a torrent.

Well then let me restate the question. How do I get the streaming files from that site? All the links lead me to the rules and the forums.
by bxaimc at 11:46 PM EDT on November 1, 2011
1) Make Account
2) Come to IRC channel to request validation
3) Get validated
4) download sets
by Master_E at 12:16 AM EDT on November 2, 2011
I've been trying to connect to this irc for about 5 minutes. It says that it can't find the host name!

And if I'm making some obvious, dumb mistake, sorry. IRC isn't my strong spot.

EDIT: Never mind.
