Broken GuestBook? by 4th Triforce Piece at 12:07 AM EST on January 29, 2008
Hi. USF Central Posters. I am going straight to the problem.

I have Internet Explore; The one with multiple Tabs. Windows XP Home Edition.

Here is the steps I did to type in the Guestbook.

1. Typed my name in the name box.

2. Typed my message in the message box.
3. Typed the dumb message in the idiot box,Quotation marks included,
4.Clicked submit and it still thought I was an idiot. Can someone tell me what went wrong?

PS. Plesse do not judge me me as an Idiot like most Posters love to do to other people; even though you have never seen me. Thanks.

Did you try it without the quotation marks? I don't see anywhere that it tells you to include those. Very rarely do people mean the quotation marks to be included when transcribing something. If they do, every instance that I can think of specifies that they're to be included (as I said, no specification was given this time). It's why they're used, to separate what to write, and what not to write. Chances are that this is the problem. Mouser X over and out.

I'm guessing HCS will just add an extra check for if equals $comparestring, and if equals '"' & $comparestring & '"', though explaining it to the uninitiated as needed also works.
