Mario Party by Yoshinkeru at 9:44 PM EDT on August 14, 2005
Time for another report from Yoshinkeru!

I don't know about anyone else, but when I decided to try the beta rip of Mario Party, it doesn't seem to work. I tried turning off Recompiler, but all I get is silence.

I realize there's still work to be done, but I just wanted the people who were working on this to know about this little problem. Take it as you will.

End of line.

Well, it works for a lot of other people... ca\an't think what your problem could be. Are you using an up-to-date version of 64th Note?
by Yoshinkeru at 4:42 AM EDT on August 15, 2005
I assure you, I am! (See my previous topic, "What do I do?"--in fact, I was hoping for assistance from you yourself...but that's over with now.)

But one thing I noticed: I never saw a usflib in the folder. Did I miss something? (Literally!)

Thanks for your time. End of message.
Whoops... by Yoshinkeru at 4:45 AM EDT on August 15, 2005
Wait--scratch that. I was thinking of my Banjo-Kazooie pre-rip.

Actually, Mario Party has not one, not two, but three usflibs. What's up with that?
by unknownfile at 10:00 AM EDT on August 15, 2005
mp1_1.usflib and mp1_2.usflib are both savestates that load from different regions of the ROM which is located inside mp1rom.usflib. Why this is, I don't know.
by hcs at 5:57 PM EDT on August 15, 2005
You need all three usflibs. There are two different sequence banks, thus a need for two different save states.
Whoa! by Yoshinkeru at 6:53 PM EDT on August 15, 2005
OH, this is weird! On mine, it works with Recompiler ON! Any thoughts?
What's going on? by Yoshinkeru at 1:46 PM EDT on August 20, 2005
Okay, now it works with Recompiler off. Can anyone explain what happened?

Also, I believe the tracklisting is still unfinished: the "star catch" fanfare is missing.

But that aside, what is this extra track, "Move to the Mambo"? I have been all thru the game, and have never encountered this track. The only thing I haven't done is complete the Mini-Game Island; I have yet to beat the final challenge. Unless this is where it is, can anyone (preferably the person who found this track!) tell me where this one can be found?

Awaiting response(s).

It's in the European version I believe.
by hcs at 6:56 AM EDT on August 22, 2005
whether or not this is true, it's in the US version since that's what I ripped
by Will at 5:16 PM EDT on August 22, 2005
Hm? Really? Maybe it's in the game's code, but they never ended up using the song in the American version, like with some games. All I know is that I don't remember hearing it ever in my American game, yet it's in this European ROM I have.

I have the australian version and it's in there, but what i want to know is what music did they use for "Limbo Dance"?
