Need help with file by Omochao at 4:33 AM EDT on April 25, 2008

This is the title for Link's Crossbow Training, and the extention is .AST, but it isn't a .AST file. What is it then?

Well, it obviously isn't an AST file.

Also, I am going to ruin this thread as it's just another "ZOMG HAI IM OMOCHAO DO THIS" thread.

Moreover, LEAVE HCS ALONE WHILE HE TRIES TO MAKE OUT WITH MARLA.

I downloaded a Link Crossbow Training (the japanese version released today) ISO and i succefully extracted 4 .ast files (including the Omochao one), that perfectly plays with in_cube.

So, nothing to do here, but, 95% of the music files are like Twilight Princess .aw waves files, and the sfx (?) in .arc and .baa files. I will try to do some research about this stuff ^^

If you want more information on *.AW and *.BAA files, you should look at unkonwnfile's thread for it. He's looked into it a little bit. *.ARC might be covered in there as well, but I don't remember. If it's not, check out the emutalk forums. I think Thakis might have done some work in that area. Hopefully you find this helpful. Mouser X over and out.

Thanks, this was helpfull.

I was surprised when i saw the huge lot of work it was done about GC ARC files... Unfortunately, Nintendo now use CARC files :/

Maybe if i have the time i will try to jump into the C code i saw in some posts ^^
