Mario Kart Wii complete soundtrack fully tagged (also Brawl) by VideoGameScrapBook at 12:49 AM EDT on April 30, 2008
As with nearly all of the Gamecube/Wii soundtracks out there, thanks to hcs for making it possible!
-Includes all of the music cues, including the alternate versions heard on different parts of each track. -The titles follow previous official Mario Kart soundtracks. -The composers, artists, and years for every song have been tagged. -The song order is based off of what would be likely on an official soundtrack. -Soundtrack style fades.
Don't remember if I commented about it on FFShrine or not but anyway... thanks for this VideoGameScrapBook. :) I'll check these out as soon as I get to my computer.
I'm a Nintendo fanboy so you'll mainly see Nintendo related soundtracks. But in the future I plan on expanding to all other systems. That will probably happen when the next Banjo game comes out. Rare is probably the main reason why I chose to make a 'Videogames' website rather than a 'Nintendo' website. I know Rare doesn't have the track record that they used to, but for better or worse, I'm a Rare fanboy too.
I, myself, am indeed a Nintendo fanboy aswell. I have been since the dawn of the NES (fond memories...) It's no secret to those that know me that I mainly stick to CAPCOM, but lately, I could care less about them - all they do is release crappy ports anymore >.>
I hate to admit that the only Nintendo franchise I don't like is Pokemon. Other than that, i'm game... ESPECIALLY for Ms. Samus Aran. ^.^
Oh, and, I can't stop listening to "Ground Theme 2 (Super Mario Bros.)", i'm addicted!
Hey I have a question for you VideoGameScrapBook: would you consider doing a lossless rip of Elebits? It doesn't appear to have an official soundtrack. :(
Cyberspark, I liked the Elebits music quite a bit, so at some point I should get around to doing a rip of Elebits. If I get enough people who say they'll seed it, I'll also do a lossless torrent. My connection won't be able to handle it otherwise.
I for one would seed a lossless rip of Elibits; maybe I could ask around on different forums and gain some support for this, I know there are quite a few that would love to have this.
Question: are the Wii dsp files the same quality as the Gamecube dsp files: 32,000hz 4bits? or are they a higher quality? I'm thinking that since the Wii's disc capacity is greater then the Gamecube's disc capacity that the audio data might not be as compressed, therefore, higher quality. I may be wrong but I thought I might ask.
Excellent job on those quality Wii rips, VideoGameScrapBook, many thanks for doing this! Be sure the time you took for it is much appreciated.
So thanks again.
Elebits soundtrack by hufman at 11:33 AM EDT on July 18, 2008
I have both the officially released soundtrack of Elebits, called The Smile Of You in available in APE format, as well as the WII stream rip, both in BRSTM and Vorbis formats.
One of the Gamecube/Wii hackers I knew said that the Nintendo Wii hardware directly supported 32khz and 48khz audio, and that the hardware supported ADPCM decoding natively, which is why most games use 32khz ADPCM as their audio format.
VideoGameScrapBook, wondering what else you have in your archive of game music collection, I am serching for a few things I have not yet managed been able to get, and was wondering if you might be able to help me out here
Hey folks! I downloaded this (very well done) Mario Kart Wii soundtrack some time ago. But I noticed that it doesn't have the little "final lap" hurry up fanfare when your vehicle first enters the final lap. Would someone be able to rip that for me please? Thanks!
I think we managed to pull that from the brsar not too long ago, but I can't find it. Ah, thar she blows: revo_kart_streams.zip Hope that's what you're looking for (also title).
Get the latest vgmstream and put it in Winamp's plug-in folder, now you'll have playback support for these files. Then select the Nullsoft Disk Writer output plug-in in the Winamp preferences and load the files. Don't forget to set the output plug-in back to DirectSound or WaveOut after this conversion.
