Great enough that you care at all.

Umm...here's a breakdown of all the differences between 1.0 and 1.2; The comparisons were done by waveform analyses, so if a track isn't mentioned here, it is exactly the same in both versions. The only one with heavy changes is "Fire Temple", all the others are pretty marginal and you would have to listen very closely to notice them.

A = Slight instrument volume changes
B = Slight instrument volume change at the loop point
C = Slight instrument volume change at the beginning

I think the differences in the Hyrule Field themes is basically that the random number generator had a different seed for determining the tracks played next. Basically, it randomizes differently because it has a different randomize value to start off with.

Neat info on the 2 sets' differences. It just bugs me that I'm not competent to fix all of the issues with these sets with only my own knowledge.

Would the correct tempo changes be unique for each track or universal like they were for the MK64 final laps?

Its great that the intros are present now. However, the original rip may be preferred for the Menu Select track. The new version includes the Fairy Fountain intro, which I don't think is actually present in the menu. Could be wrong.
