Here's the deal: I'll upload the bat-file when I'm ready and you'll do a rerip when you find some time. ;-)

how many missing tracks we have (since jz is not in the game)?
edit: HALT! Here's a translation of the tracklist!
1. vacant lives (title demo) 2. work your body (game select) 3. dance! (Course BGM/Crystal Lake) 4. this is a test (Course BGM/Crystal Peak) 5. golden forest (Course BGM/Golden Forest) 6. grasp power! (Course BGM/Mountain Village) 7. blue flame (Course BGM/Dragon Cave) 8. call me (Course BGM/Training) 9. half pipe (Course BGM/half pipe) 10. db (goal) 11. lost (game over) 12. give it to me (results) 13. review (replay) 14. winner (game clear) 15. vacant lives (1080゚ MIX) (staff roll)* 16. white out (name entry) 17. jz (bonus track)
* This track is in the game, however I'm not going to bother with this track as it is just track 1 with a different drumset.
Disregarding a few extra effects/intros/outros to the tracks, there are no missing songs. The main problem at the moment is that the USFs' are garbled. Where exactly does the remix of "vacant lives" play? Can't remember hearing it anywhere in the game.
I played through Expert Mode again today and it really plays the remix of 'Vacant Lives' as the credits theme. Couldn't remember that because I haven't played the game for three or four years now. Track 17 "jz" is not in the game.
Problems with the rip: - missing track sparse07 "This is a Test (Alternative Version)" - missing track sparse13 "Vacant Lives (1080° MIX)" - garbled tracks sparse03, sparse06 and sparse10
Tracks that sound different on the soundtrack: 02 - Work Your Body (different outro) 03 - Dance! (different outro) 06 - Grasp Power (vocals included) 09 - Half Pipe (different outro) 16 - White Out (intro included)

OK, here's the details on the set:
I am getting ready to set the status to "complete" and uploading the final set. It'll be up when I can remember the control panel password.
I'd like to inquire about a rip of Animal Crossing, the Gamecube version. It emulates the N64's sound and video hardware. It also has added songs when compared with the N64 Doubutsu no Mori and the GC Doubutsu no Mori +. Also, according to a conversation in the #usf chatroom, audiorom.img is likely not to contain music data:
[02/15/07 - 14:50:34] <Aurakitsune> "Possibly interesting fact: while there are indeed cultural changes to the game between the English and Japanese versions [of Animal Crossing], the game itself is almost a direct recompile of the original N64 Doubutsu no Mori source code. The executable contains a N64 sound and graphics emulator - the game itself is still written in terms of the N64's 3D hardware, not the GC's." [02/15/07 - 14:50:58] <Aurakitsune> hmm/ [02/15/07 - 14:51:32] <Aurakitsune> "audiorom.img"... hmm. [02/15/07 - 14:52:26] <Aurakitsune> now, I may be confused. [02/15/07 - 14:53:27] <Aurakitsune> But if Animal Crossing's sound is emulated, would that mean its music could possibly be ripped to USF? [02/15/07 - 14:56:03] <anewuser> heh [02/15/07 - 15:11:43] <hcs> I considered it [02/15/07 - 15:12:19] <hcs> couldn't find anything in a quick glance at the audiorom
...which leads me to think that this data is not in audiorom.img, but rather in the Yaz0 compressed foresta.rel.szs. I can provide this the uncompressed version of this file (from Animal Crossing GCN) to anyone who needs it.
If you can get your hands on Doubutsu no Mori E+ it would probably even better a rip, as said game has more tracks than any of the others on N64/GCN. However, this version of the game is extremely rare as an actual disc, let alone as an ISO file... There's a slight chance I can get my hands on this tonight or tomorrow... VERY SLIGHT. =/
Sorry if I seem rather naggy about this matter, but I guess I'll give it one more try. ~Aurakitsune
Please ignore my last post in this thread. I'll figure out more about that stuff later.
Programming guru I am NOT by Yoshinkeru at 11:26 PM EST on March 8, 2007
WHOA! WHOA! WHOA! HOLD those horses a minute there, marioman! You musta missed an earlier post where I clearly stated I could NOT possibly even ATTEMPT the seemingly incredibly complex work you guys do! No, the only way I could tag/time the tracks myself is give the correct tags/times in a subsequent post, or something like that.
See, unless hcs comes out with in_usf for foobar itself (using the Winamp wrapper at the moment), I can't seem to tag them (they appear in the playlist, thankfully, but an error says it couldn't write to file), and I'm still waiting for the feature to allow individual timing (like the SPC plugin does).
So sorry.
Willing, but able? by Richter X at 11:57 PM EST on March 8, 2007
Well, don't know much about timing things, but I might be able to tag what I can remember. Haven't played it in years.
@Yoshinkeru: A tags-only post would be fine. Tagging isn't that complex (it is like adding ID3 tags to MP3s), but if foobar can't do tagging, it would be a huge help if you could provide the tags in a post. I did not say that you had to tag/time them, I said that I thought that you probably could time them. So I was wrong. :)
It seems that we still have three people who are interested in SF Rush. I hope it gets ripped soon.
