Pageclaim for me.
Ahahaha.

I don't know what format it actually IS. We need to call in an expert on MODs to find out.
by PokeParadox at 12:25 AM EST on February 26, 2006
MODs store their samples internally. These files store their samples elsewhere... I don't think they are MOD.

I may do a bit of investigating myself and comparing against MODs, but I'm not sure I'll be able to reveal anything.
by Omochao at 1:21 PM EST on February 26, 2006
Some MODS(such as TFMX)do store their samples elsewhere. There is still the possiblity that it might be MIDI, many older Mac games stored samples seperately.
by Omochao at 9:02 PM EST on March 4, 2006
Any updates on those files? I have attempted to ask about them over at EmuTalk without any real results.
by hcs at 9:07 PM EST on March 4, 2006
This is in your hands now.
by PokeParadox at 1:51 AM EST on March 5, 2006
I haven't looked at those files myself yet... Although when I say I'll do something, I usually follow through, but in my own time. So don't hold your breath if you are waiting for me to look into this.

I don't know that I'll be ables to do anything with the files in any case.

Can someone please seed Wario World?
by Mouser X at 1:35 AM EST on March 31, 2006
Well, my hardrive is starting to show signs of wear. So, I'm attempting to make backups where possible. I already have all of the HCS torrents that I downloaded backed up, so I'll be deleting those off of my drive because I need to free up space, and I need to decrease the drive activity. What that means for you is that I will no longer be able to seed the sets on the HCS tracker, unless I get a new harddrive sometime in the near future. To be honest, I really don't want to have to do this, but I don't have any other options at this time. I've already stopped seeding everything, and I will be removeing the files in the morning. For those of you who were, or were going to, get(ing) the files, I'm sorry, but I can't do it right now. Hopefully someone else will step up to seed the sets. If not, hopefully I get a job soon so that I can afford a new drive, and start seeding again. I have about 10gb free currently, and I've already experienced areas that I can't write data to. To me, that's a huge warning sign that something is wrong. As such, I'm doing what I can, while I can, to take care of the problem. These files have already been taken care of, so they're the first to go. Hopefully when I delete them, it will free up thousands of good healthy sectors so that I won't run into problems for awhile.

Again, sorry that I can't keep seeding, but hopefully I'll get a job soon so that I can continue to do so at a later date. Mouser X over and out.
by marioman at 3:37 AM EST on March 31, 2006
I still think that finding a good file hosting site is the solution. Hope your HD problems get fixed Mouser.
by unknownfile at 6:52 AM EST on March 31, 2006
If you donate a reasonably fast computer and some ethernet wires, then I might consider hosting them on a httpd.
by marioman at 8:04 AM EST on March 31, 2006
Yeah, I guess I could just give you some of that money that I was planning on burning. :)

Really, we have been talking about this for a while. Maybe Mouser's HD going down is a sign that we need to actually do something about it.
by unknownfile at 11:35 AM EST on March 31, 2006
Let me see, I have three computers, but none of them are dedicated. Oops, that sucks.

However, you can help seed the sets by putting xdcc bots in #usf on freenode, and that should help distribution.
by BazzatManBowlin at 6:46 PM EDT on April 7, 2006
Hey, HCS. I've got the ADX files from Silent Scope and Dynamite Cop; both for the Dreamcast. Do you want them on the tracker? I would've had the Confidential Mission ADX files too, but I've misplaced the CD.
by hcs at 9:30 AM EDT on April 8, 2006
whatever floats your boat!
by BazzatManBowlin at 11:15 AM EDT on April 8, 2006
All right, they're up.
by unknownfile at 6:46 PM EDT on April 9, 2006
A DSP distro is going to be set up soon. It will require a PHP script that only allows one download every ten minutes to prevent uberlag, so if anyone can code this, please let me know.
by BazzatManBowlin at 9:22 PM EDT on April 14, 2006
I've added the Dead or Alive 2 ADXs to the tracker.
by BazzatManBowlin at 10:58 AM EDT on April 15, 2006
I've also added the Sonic Adventure 2: Battle ADX files to the tracker. Rather than just uploading the Battle-exclusive songs, I just added every song since they're all in stereo, unlike the original Sonic Adventure 2 torrent (no offense to the original uploader).
by Mouser X at 11:11 PM EDT on April 15, 2006
Ah! Thanks. I was going to download that game (eventually) to get the ADX files. Now I don't have to. Of course, I DO have to figure out where I'm going to get the drive space to download them... I'll worry about that later. Like as in, when I can actually download them. Thanks for SA2:B. I'll definatly pick that one up within the next month or 2 (sorry, I'm a little strapped for disc space right now). Mouser X over and out.
by DJ Squarewave at 12:06 AM EDT on April 16, 2006
Grabbing SA2B and DOA2 now...

I'll seed them for a while, but I'm itching to get them renamed from the OST. Of course, you just had to put op the SA2B rip right after I finished renaming the SA2 one... ;)

by Mouser X at 1:05 AM EDT on April 16, 2006
Create a batch file that renames them. Then, create a batch file that puts the names back. That way, you can always seed if you see that there's a need. I started work on renaming the MP1 set to the OST names, but never finished (at least, I don't think I did). Using a batch file makes it a whole ton easier to change the names around, for later purposes. On top of that, you can post the batch somewhere so that others can use it as well (hint hint). But, as I said, I won't be getting this for at least a little while. Hopefully it will be sooner than later though. Mouser X out.
by DJ Squarewave at 10:03 AM EDT on April 16, 2006
Here are batchfiles for DOA2. The gap in numbering is from three OST tracks (Deadly Silence Beach, Type-XXX, Act of Universe) not present. There's also two non-OST tracks there and I didn't really know what they should be called.

I've also got fully renamed sets for F-Zero GX and Sonic Adventure DX (the latter of which I sent to someone named Tweaker...dunno what he did with it, though). If someone has a sort-by-size list of the original filenames for either, I can make batches for those, too. Sonic Adventure 2 might come later, depending on whether or not I get to schoolwork...

Any idea for a time frame when the tracker might be back up? For those curious, I'm still seeding a few sets (namely the ones that no one has downloaded since I picked them up, leaving me with a ratio of 0:1 on them, which I don't like). Of course, this is useless to you, unless your BitTorrent client supports trackerless torrents (which µTorrent does support). I suppose there still a *few* I could seed, but most of my collection isn't on my HDD anymore. Mouser X out.
by hcs at 2:33 AM EDT on May 4, 2006
Tracker's useless without a domain name.
by Mouser X at 3:04 AM EDT on May 4, 2006
I realize that the tracker is currently offline, and will be until the domain name comes back. However, I downloaded about 15gb off of a tracker about a week after it went offline, using Azereus, because of trackerless torrents support. Luckly for me, there were plenty of other people who were trying to get the same files I was, otherwise I never would have gotten as far as I did. In other words, if someone got on the torrents that I'm still seeding, then there is still a slim chance that I'll connect to them, and seed for them. Though, you probably realized all that, I would assume. Mouser X out.
by hcs at 4:57 AM EDT on May 4, 2006
Oh, actually, I hadn't thought of that.

It's not that slim a chance, either, a lot of clients have DHT now. I guess I should try and put those up somewheres.
by unknownfile at 11:33 AM EDT on May 4, 2006
Paper Mario 2 DSPs will be up later providing there are no problems. If so, then be light on bandwidth or I shall kicketh your ass.

By the way, we are on the cruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuise!!!!!!!!!11
by hcs at 9:09 PM EDT on May 4, 2006
OK, if you're going to put up the PM2 DSPs then I won't, I was planning on doing that myself.

At the moment I'm putting up Super Smash Bros. Melee, and Mario Kart: Double Dash is on the way.
by Mouser X at 5:05 PM EDT on June 12, 2006
I've uploaded the following sets already:

Capcom_vs_SNK_2_-_EO__ADX_.part2.rar ... 51.2mb
Marvel_VS_Capcom_2_(ADX).rar ........... 51.1mb
Sonic GEMs (GC ADX).rar ................ 85.8mb
Sonic_Mega_Collection__ADX_.rar ........ 22.9mb
ssbmsfx.7z (Sound FX collection) ....... 20.5mb

And I've queued up the following for upload:

Capcom_vs_SNK_2_-_EO__ADX_.part2.rar ... 88.6mb
Custom Robo.rar ........................ 427mb
Fire Emblem (GC STM).rar ............... 226mb
F-Zero GX (GC ADX).rar ................. 302mb
Kirby's Air Ride.rar ................... 140mb
Metroid Prime.rar ...................... 180mb
Star Fox Assault BGM.rar ............... 173mb
Tales of the Abyss (ADX).rar ........... 449mb

That list will take several hours to upload, as I have 20-40k upload speed... Also, I didn't realize that the Capcom vs SNK set was in 2 parts, otherwise, I would have uploaded part 1 first. In case anyone wondered, these rars are compiled such that if the torrents were restarted, I could simply extract the contents, and start seeding, as long as the torrents were the same ones from the HCS tracker. There are possible exceptions to this, but only for small files (like the in_dsp.dll, and such). In the case of the Metroid Prime set, I included some files into the RAR that weren't distributed with the torrent. Those would basically be the RSF files that haven't been deciphered yet. Other than that though, these should be basically identical to the torrents. Hope you find a use for these.

HCS: If there's anything you'd like to me to specifically upload, or not upload, let me know. I'm going to attempt to upload my entire GC audio collection (minus the ones that are already up, of course), unless told otherwise. Hopefully this is okay. If not, let me know, and I'd be happy to ablige. Mouser X out.

By all means, send them files.
One of us is going to have to check the files on the server for integrity, though, before I move them into public view. Nothing pisses people off more than an unusable 450MB download.
This is where SSH access to the server would come in handy...
by Tweaker at 8:17 PM EDT on June 12, 2006
I still have the renamed SADX set that DJ Squarewave sent me, as well as the normal SA2B set. I'm getting SA2B up now, and the SADX set is currently raring up. Should be ready for upload in 5 minutes or so.

I have a stripped Shadow set, but I'm not sure if it's of any worth. It's just the music, without any of the in-game scene ADX's (dialouge, etc). If you're still interested, then I'll get that up too

by Mouser X at 12:15 AM EDT on June 13, 2006
Well, I'm willing to re-download the files I upload, to verify if they were uploaded alright. I'm very sketchy on the details, but from what I understand, the connection here is about 30k up and 30k down. Even so, I've been uploading between 20-40k, and I've seen my download speeds hit 200k+. Not often, sure, but I did see it happen when I downloaded the MKDD.zip file. Usually, it sticks around 50-115k for downloads. Hopefully, this will continue for the forseeable future (though, as I said, I find it odd that it's hitting such high speeds)...

I'm not sure what the issue is, but my internet connection here is very sparadic, so I keep getting disconnected when uploading. I'm resuming the upload, so hopefully nothing is lost. Again, I'll download the files to verify if they're good or not, if you'd like me to. Either way, glad I could help where possible. Mouser X out.
by hcs at 8:22 AM EDT on June 13, 2006
Servage's ftp is a bit flaky, I've experienced disconnection with it as well. This is one of the reasons it's important to check out the files once they're up there.
Thanks.

Tweaker, since no one else has put Shadow up yet, I think your stripped set would be welcome. I think we're all only interested in the music anyway.
by Tweaker at 7:57 PM EDT on June 13, 2006
SA2B and renamed SADX set done. Since you're cool with the Shadow set, I'm gonna rar and upload it now.

Anyone willing to test my uploads? The quicker we can get these together, the better.
by Tanookirby at 7:59 PM EDT on June 13, 2006
Do you have a place for these GCN music torrents yet? The previous archive does not work anymore.
by hcs at 8:14 PM EDT on June 13, 2006
In case you can't tell, we're putting a bunch of stuff up on my new server. Easier to get at than the torrents were.
by Mouser X at 8:24 PM EDT on June 13, 2006
I'm currently uploading RARed versions of the torrents onto the site. If you have something you want to contribute, you'll need to get account info from HCS.

Also, to make life easier for those who are uploading, could you please be specific on what sets you're uploading, or which ones you will be uploading shortly? It appears that HCS has to move the files himself, so they don't show up in the /dsp/ directory. At least, not until he moves them there.

Sets I've uploaded so far: See my post above. They're all done.

Sets I'm uploading now:

Bomberman Generation ADP.rar ........... 439mb
Bomberman Jetters DSP.rar .............. 414mb
Dragon Ball Z Budokai 2 BGM.rar ........ 387mb
Naruto Gekitou Ninja Taisen 4 BGM.7z ... 510mb

Since I'm uploading these straight off of the DVD I burned, I can't change that disc out. However, once these finish, I'll probably start on these next (in no particular order)

Ecco, PSO 1&2 and PSO3, Cubivore, Jet Set Radio, Second Site, Kuruin Squash, Puyo Pop, Skies of Arcadia, and Super Monkey Ball 1&2 (I have Sonic Heroes, SA2, and Shadow the Hedgehog on this next disc as well, but it looks like those ones are already up, or will be shortly (though mine are the original filenames, if that makes a difference)).

Looking at my discs reminds me that I also have Sonic Riders, and Megaman X: Command Mission (ADX, so looping isn't an issue) on my PC (I have a few others as well, but I'll need to hunt them down first. I have Wave Race here somewhere, from PokeParadox. Sorry I never got that on the torrents. I really dropped the ball on that one).

Anyway, I'll be uploading everything I can, hopefully. Also, feel free to upload anything on my list I've mentioned. Just make sure you tell me first, so that we don't end up uploading the same set multiple times (me being on limited bandwith, it would become a major pain real quick). Mouser X over and out.
by Tweaker at 10:40 PM EDT on June 13, 2006
Okay, the Shadow set is done uploading. Enjoy.
by unknownfile at 10:22 AM EDT on June 14, 2006
You are eternally cursed for putting Shadow's voice up on hcs64.com. SHAME ON YOU!
by Mouser X at 11:25 AM EDT on June 14, 2006
Actually, I think you might be mistaken. If I understand correctly, Tweaker never downloaded the (Voices w/BGM) set of Shadow. He only uploaded the actual music files. Though, I was considering uploading the voice files. If I do, it'd be very last. Though, I see very little reason to upload those here. On the torrent, they were downloaded like, 4-5 times (which did actually beat out a few other sets. I think Hello Kitty Roller Rescue (or someting like that) had fewer downloads).

That reminds me. Does anyone here happen to have a list of torrents that were up before the site went down? Just for completeness, I'd like to see all of the torrents uploaded here, where possible. Of course, exceptions can be made (Shadow Voices set, for example), but I'd, personaly, at least like to know what used to be available. Thanks in advance for anyone who can answer that. Mouser X over and out.

Well actually, the original set I downloaded DID have the voice files, but I got rid of them because they were a waste of space IMO. If you're willing to update my set with the files I stripped from it, that'd be cool.

All for the sake of completeness, though. :P

Well, I've finished uploading all the sets I said I was uploading. Now, I'm attempting to download them. However, this is going very very very slowly. It downloads about 100-300kb of data, then disconnects. Then, it has to reconnect. And, I'm only getting about 20k for my downloads as well. If someone else can find the files and download them to check if they're good, that would be appreciated. I'll still try, but this isn't looking good.

I'm using my FTP client to download them. Is there a weblink I could try instead? It might go faster if I use a different client to download them. If there isn't a weblink, perhaps you (HCS) could move the files I've uploaded to a temp directory on hcs64.com, and then send me the location via emial (unless of course you don't mind people trying their hand at downloading possibly faulty files). I've verified multiple times that the file sizes on the server are the same as the ones on my end. Now I just need to download them to make sure that the data is placed properly.

Thanks for the the list HCS. After looking through it, it looks like I'm missing the following sets:

Killer7
Monopoly Party
Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi
Donkey Konga 3
Dead or Alive 2 (DC)
Sonic Adventure 2: Battle
Dynamite Cop (DC)
Silent Scope (DC)

So, any help in uploading the ones I don't have would be nice.

[EDIT] I looked more thouroughly through my GC Audio sets, and it looks like I'm missing 8 of the sets that were on the tracker. On the positive side, I'll be uploading Wave Race Blue Storm, Megaman X: Command Mission, and Sonic Riders, which were never on the torrents. That is, I'll upload them, unless someone beats me to it first. Currently, I'm uploading Paper Mario 2, and I've recently finished uploading Megaman X8 (ADX).

Also, I sort of solved my slow downloading problem. I'm still frequently disconnected from the FTP server when downloading. However, I changed my timeout time to 15sec. and my "wait for retry" to 15sec. Also, I had capped my download speed, thinking it was my upload speed (I have a shared connection, so I need to keep things balanced, otherwise the others using this connection get upset). Taking off the cap, I'm now downloading at roughly 50-80k. But, as I said, I'm still getting disconnected quite frequently. At least it's faster than it was.

Once I'm done with Paper Mario 2, I'll be working on these:

billy hatcher.7z ...................................... 166mb
Bust_A_Move_3000__SPT_SPD_.rar ....... 43.9mb
Donkey Konga (J).7z .............................. 192mb
Dragon_Ball_Z_Sagas__ADP_.part1.rar .... 60mb
Dragon_Ball_Z_Sagas__ADP_.part2.rar .... 40.2mb
Hello_Kitty_Roller_Rescue.rar .................. 37.3mb
Metroid_Prime_2.rar ................................ 203mb
MP2D.zip (MP2 Demo. Most don't work) ... 71.7mb

It will take me some time to upload MMX:CM because I need to go through, and clean out the voice clips. Wave Race and Sonic Riders were sent to me through email or IRC, so they're RARed up and ready to go. They'll probably be next, or so.

Anyway, if you happen to have any of the sets I listed as missing, I know that I'd appreciate it if someone could upload them (Though, was SA2:B uploaded by Tweaker already? I'm pretty sure it was). Mouser X over and out.

Heh. Thanks, sort of. Meaning, I was almost done downloading Bomberman Generations when you moved it... If you could move it back, so I can finish downloading it with my FTP client (it will resume the file), I'd appreciate it...

Also, I was uploading Donkey Konga (J) when you moved them, so it's definatly not complete either. I started transfering Phantasy Star Online 3 yesturday, but didn't finish because I removed the DVD it was uploading from (I forgot I was uploading it). So, if you could move those 3 (Bomberman Generations ADP, Donkey Konga (J), and PSO3) back, it'd be appreciated.

On the positive side, I've already confirmed that Bust a Move and Capcom vs SNK 2 EO is complete. I downloaded them, and ran a RAR test on the files. No errors were found, so I'd say those ones are good to go. And, download speeds are WAY better than they were with the FTP client, so that's a huge plus as well. If it wasn't for the fact that I have less than 50mb left on Bomberman Generations, I'd probably just download it from where it is...

Thanks again though. It was a huge help for the files I wasn't working on.

[EDIT] Just so you know how much of a help it was that you moved the files, I can confidently confirm that all of the files in that directory (mouserup) have been downloaded and tested. None of them displayed errors when I ran WinRAR's test on them. Though, that is exluding Bomberman Generations (I didn't want to waste the bandwidth to re-download the whole thing again), Donkey Konga (J), and Phantasy Star Online Episode 3 (because I know those 2 are incomplete). I don't know why, but my connection is far, far faster than I've ever seen it go before. I was hitting 1MB/s! Not often, but I did see it happen a few times. Anyway, enjoy the GC audio sets. Mouser X out.

You've got to come around #usf more often so we can keep in touch.
I think I moved the files back into the same place.

Thanks for the uploads, and the confirmations! I'll be shuffling files around so I discourage anyone from attempting to get any of mouser's uploads until you see them in either /DSP, /ADX, /ADP, or /PCM. I'll be putting up some sort of system to make this more navigable soon.

Also, I'll be uploading Killer7, Donkey Konga 3, and Monopoly Party over the next few days (gotta sip my bandwidth). I had to move Mario Kart Double Dash into /PCM, because I like accuracy. Apologies to anyone who was downloading it, get something that can resume.

tweaker's sets are all now in place.

A few Mario Kart Double Dash tunes are missing. Do they have different formats from the rest?
by Mouser X at 1:23 AM EDT on June 16, 2006
Most likely. There's some AW files in that set, and in_cube can't play them. My guess is that some of those missing songs are in those files. Hopefully, someone will figure out the AW format. That'd be nice...

Of course, since I don't have a GC image of the game, I can't confirm that, but the set looks reasonably complete to me. As such, that's where I'd expect those missing songs to be. Mouser X out.
by hcs at 2:04 AM EDT on June 16, 2006
that archive has all the music data, so the songs are in there, we just can't play them
by BazzatManBowlin at 3:25 AM EDT on June 16, 2006
I have the Pro Evolution Soccer 3 and 4 ADX files, but I'm not quite sure where I'd upload them to. Excuse my ignorance, but was the FTP upload info on a past page, or is it VIP (access limited to a group of trusted individuals)?

I'll have to sort through the PE3 ADX files, since there seems to be a surplus of voice and crowd noises.
by hcs at 12:08 PM EDT on June 16, 2006
Yeah, I can set up an account for you if you'd like to upload some stuff. Drop me an email with your requested user name and password.

All right. So far, I've uploaded Dead or Alive 2, Dynamite Cop, and both Pro Evolution Soccer 3 & 4 - all which are ADX. I've still got Silent Scope, Sega GT 2002, and Wrestlemania X8 to go.
by Mouser X at 10:21 AM EDT on June 17, 2006
I was just about to upload Wrestlemania X8 and Sega GT 2002. I've already started on Wrestlemania X8 though (I'm only at 9mb, but it's a start). Also, I've uploaded nearly my entire collection. It looks like I might actually be running out of material to upload... Though, I still need to do some verifications on files and such. These are the sets that I have left to upload:

Bleach Tasogare Ni Mamieru no Shinigami
Casper Spirit Dimensions
Eternal Darkness
SEGA GT 2002 (X-BOX)
SEGA GT 2022 Extra Streams
Undercover Cops MAME MP3 Rip
WWE Wrestlemania X8

And these are the ones that are currently uploading:

Bleach Tasogare Ni Mamieru no Shinigami
Casper Spirit Dimensions
Eternal Darkness
SEGA GT 2002 (X-BOX)
SEGA GT 2022 Extra Streams
Undercover Cops MAME MP3 Rip
WWE Wrestlemania X8

And these still need verification:

Battalion Wars "Fixed Edition"
Ecco the Dolphin Defender of the Future
Extreme G3
Harvest Moon - Another Wonderful Life
Jet Set Radio
Jet Set Radio (voice)
Kururin Squash
Phantasy Star Online 1&2
Puyo Pop Fever
Second Sight
Skies of Arcadia
Super Monkey Ball
Super Monkey Ball 2
Wario World
Worms Blast

However, since I'm going to be gone today (family reunion), I'm not going to be able to upload, or verify anything. Just so you know.

I am currently uploading stuff, but if I get disconnected, then it won't auto reconnect (I haven't figured out how to do that in SmartFTP yet). As such, it won't finish uploading, if I get disconnected. Also, there's a good chance that I'm not going to finish uploading because I haven't figured out how to get it to auto resume either (and Wrestlemania is partly uploaded). Eitehr way though, I'm almost done. Anyway, glad to see some more help on the way! Mouser X over and out.

Bazzatman, our policy is to redownload what you have uploaded and run an integrity test on the RAR, to ensure that what's on the server is intact. Let me know when you have done that for your uploads. If it is impossible for you someone else might be able to do it.
by Mouser X at 12:52 AM EDT on June 18, 2006
Just an update: I'm currently uploading WWF Wrestlemania X8, and Sega GT 2002 is already completely uploaded (still needs verification). Out of the list in my last post, Casper Spirit Dimensions, Undercover Cops MAME MP3 Rip, and Wrestlemania are the only ones left to upload. After that, I'll dig through my hardrive, to see if there's anything I might have forgotten (I know I still have Dark Summit on here, as well as Chibi Robo, and Robotech: Battlecry. I wish Baten Kaitos, Beyond Good and Evil, and Metal Arms: Glitch in the System could be figured out...). Anyway, please enjoy these wonderful audio sets (most of them, anyway)! Mouser X out.

Houston, we are "Go". Sometime today, I'll try and upload the Confidential Mission music, which is also ADX.

Can someone upload the Pac-Man World 2 .DSPs, please? Thanks.
by Mouser X at 12:53 AM EDT on June 24, 2006
I'm not sure if HCS is aware of this, but everything in the "mouserup" folder is complete, and verified. As such, it can be moved to the locations that the files belong in. I realize there's two "Sega GT 2002" files. However, one of them contains the "Extra Streams," while the other, based on the RAR's file size, doesn't. Obviously, it's up to HCS which one to keep. Also, since I'm not the one who put those files on the tracker, I might have combined the files incorrectly (they might not be from the same game, but based on the information in the torrents, they looked like they came from the same game).

Anyway, hopefully that clears up any issues anyone might have with those files. Feel free to pick them up, if you want them. I could still upload "Roboteck: Battlecry," "Dark Summit," and "Chibirobo," for those who might want those ones. However, if I did so, then I'd either have to clean them out (Make sure I remove gunk and crud most people wouldn't want (mainly soundFX and spoken parts)), or upload them as is (and as I recall, Roboteck, due to it's storage system, is a little messy). Beyond those games, I can't think of anything else that I have that's in DSP, or similar, format. I think that's all for now. Mouser X over and out.

The GC Stream Database says that they are playable with in_cube.
by marioman at 9:06 AM EDT on July 10, 2006
Sorry for the off topic post.

Omochao, I posted some instructions on how to finish your tags for Josh's rips in the Josh W's USF Rips thread. It has been somewhat buried in other posts, but you will definitely want to check it out. Just look at the posts that come shortly after the one where you uploaded the tags.

Alright, carry on.
by Omochao at 10:59 PM EDT on July 11, 2006
marioman, I'll do that if you can provide a frontend for PSFPoint as I don't do DOS and it would take forever tagging it all by hand.
by marioman at 11:09 PM EDT on July 11, 2006
Uhhh... I am not experienced enough to do that. Just use DOS or create a shortcut in Windows. It is not hard to use at all.

In order to keep this thread on topic, I would recommend that this discussion be continued on Josh's thread or a new thread.
Geist by hcs at 5:02 AM EDT on July 14, 2006
I have been unable to locate an image of Geist in order to rip the music. I think Sir Sabin had it at one point, if you're still around do you think you might upload at least the ADP streams, maybe the currently-unplayable GSFs as well?

I've got the Beyond Good and Evil sally.bf file figured out (at least well enough to extract from it), and in_cube 0.20 beta 2 now has support to play the extracted files.
How long before the files appear on the Web-o-tron? Not long!

[edit]
in_cube 0.20 beta 3 is now up, looping now works more goodly.

Does this mean you're uploading them? If you aren't, then I'd be happy to do so. Also, in a few hours, I'll have the US version downloaded, and will then be able to include the English (and Spanish, apparently) spoken parts as well, if you find that interesting, or worth the wait. Again, thanks for supporting this game. Mouser X out.
by Mouser X at 5:54 PM EDT on July 26, 2006
Beyond Good & Evil is uploaded. And, for those interested, you can even grab the English spoken bits (voice-overs). I put them in a separate file though, so it won't clutter up the download. For those who may want them, I can upload the Spanish, France, or Netherlands files as well, but I will only do so by request.

So, come and listen to this game's great music. Much of it resembles ambience, but there's definatly a lot you won't want to miss (well, I think so anyway). Hope you enjoy it. Mouser X over and out.
by unknownfile at 8:12 PM EDT on July 27, 2006
For those interested, I figured out the ADS file format. It is mostly used in PS2 games, but since in_cube supports some PS2 games, this could be of interest.

0x0C = Playback frequency
0x10 = Stereo/Mono (0x02 indicates stereo)
0x14 = Byte Interleave
0x18 = Start of loop (add 0 to the end of the hex string to get the real loop point)
0x24 = End of loop
0x38 = Beginning of compressed PS2 ADPCM data (16 bytes)
0x48 = Null data (remove this) (16 bytes)
0x58 = Rest of data
by hcs at 9:25 PM EDT on July 27, 2006
Meh, the basic format is PS2 ADPCM, in_cube is GC.
Maybe another plugin, though. Or maybe in_cube since I won't have to do as much work.
by unknownfile at 9:34 PM EDT on July 27, 2006
In the meantime, enjoy this stupid signature image.

Also, the point where the stream starts should be parsed as 0x00 to get the loops and stuffs working right.

If ADS is supported, I'd be glad to upload the WWE SmackDown! 4 ADS files.
by Mouser X at 1:43 AM EDT on July 28, 2006
I know there's a PSF2 rip of it, but I'd still like to see the ADS files from Megaman X7 (call me crazy. I most likely am anyway). I know for a fact there's other games I'd like to see as well, but I can't remember what they are off hand (I don't personally own many PS2 games, so I'm relying on what others have said about their formats).

As I said earlier (in the IRC), thanks for the info. UF. Hopefully this will be found useful for in_cube, or in_cube's successor. If I knew how to program (I really should look into it), I'd see what I could do to add support for the PSF spec, without actually altering the files (access the streamed data as you would a *.xSFLIB file). However, as I said, that's not going to happen anytime remotely soon, as I wouldn't even have a clue where to start... Mouser X over and out.
by unknownfile at 11:39 PM EDT on July 28, 2006
One Piece Grand Battle 3 apparently uses a container called AFS, which is used to store all of its data. It uses a form of PCM which I can guess to be similar to the AW Stream format (afc).

Edit: Excuse my stupidity. They are ADX files packed in the AFSes.

I recently dug through the bonus/ADP/;ADX/;AFC/;DSP/;PCM/ directories, and put together a text file which, hopefully, lists the original rippers, the original torrenters (those who uploaded their rips to the tracker, or if it never went to the tracker), and the people who uploaded the sets to HCS's site (the most recent event). If there's a "(?)" by a name, or entry, then that means I'm unsure if that's correct, and verification/correction would be helpful. If it's blank, then that means I'm really not sure at all who contributed what, where, or how (unless the torrent "field" is blank. That usually means the ripper and torrenter are the same person). Find the list here or at http://www.geocities.com/mouser_x/GC-set-rippers.txt (they both lead to the exact same place, sorry).

I'm sure you'll notice that my name is in the "Uploader" 'field' a lot. That's because I often defaulted to my name as the uploader, though if I was really unsure, then I left it blank. If you uploaded something, and I have it labeled wrong, please let me know. The same goes for rippers, and torrents. Also, while that list may have a possible excess of information, I feel that the uploaders/torrenters deserve some credit as well as the rippers, since they provided their time, hard drive space, and bandwidth, to contribute the sets (and yes, there's a good chance you'll see such things mentioned in this thread, at some point).

I hope that this list can be useful in the near future when/if a GC/stuff distribution page is made. If such a page is made, we'll, hopefully, be able to put credit where proper credit is due. As such, again, if you're aware of any corrections that can be made, please feel free to speak up.

Something else to keep in mind is that I don't have access to the tracker database (HCS does though, so he might look through it), and I didn't dig very deep through this thread at all (a lot of information can be found in the pages of this thread. I didn't bother looking through most of them). So, I'm sure you can find confirmation/information in this thread that I didn't bother looking for. That being the case, thanks in advance to anyone who does go through this thread, and tracks down more information.

Again, I hope that this list can receive many contributions. Good luck, and thanks in advance for any help anyone can offer. Mouser X over and out.

I'm going to do more development on the PS2 section of in_cube. Stay tuned.
by Mouser X at 6:24 PM EDT on August 28, 2006
I've been working on the streamed set ripper/torrenter/uploader list (here, still), and as far as I can tell, the ADP section is finalized. I've been reading back through the posts in this thread, and discussing it in #usf, so I feel that the ADP section is pretty well done, and reliable.

However, I'm still working on the other sections, at the moment. As far as I am able, I've confirmed what I can. Please, take a look at the list, and help fill in the blanks, especially. To make things easier to decipher, here's a list of what I still need help on:

Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi:    HCS                HCS (?)
Phantasy Star Online 1&2:        BigCN401 (?)            Mouser X
Sonic Adventure 2: Battle:        BManBowlin (?)            Tweaker (?)
Sonic Adventure DX:            Sir-Sabin    Mouser X    Tweaker (?)
Sonic Heroes:                Mouser X
Sonic Riders:                Sir-Sabin

Cubivore:                HCS (?)                Mouser X
Donkey Konga 2:
Donkey Konga 3:                Emil007 (?)            HCS
Donkey Konga:                Mouser X (?)            Mouser X
Homeland beta:                HCS                HCS (?)
Killer7                    Emil007 (?)            HCS
Metroid Prime 2 Demo:                            Mouser X
Metroid Prime:                UNKNOWNFILE (?)            Mouser X
Monopoly Party:                Emil007 (?)            HCS

Mario Kart: Double Dash:        Sir-Sabin (?)    no torrent    HCS (?)

Basically, I need rippers for a few things, and confirmation on many others. Specifically:

PSO 1&2, can anyone confirm the ripper? I feel confident that BigCN401 ripped it, but I'm not 100% certain.

Sonic Adventure 2: Battle: I talked with Sir-Sabin, who ripped it. However, after digging through the backlog of this thread, it looks like BazzatManBowling and Tweaker are the ones responsible for the set that was torrented, and on the server. Any arguments against this?

Sonic Adventure DX: As far as I can tell, Tweaker uploaded a renamed version of Sir-Sabin's rip, which I uploaded to the tracker. Is this correct to anyone else who remembers?

Sonic Heroes & Sonic Riders: Who uploaded these? I kind of think it was me, on both of them, but I can't remember.

Donkey Konga 1-3: Based on my memory, and DVDs, it looks like I ripped Donkey Konga (Jap). Any objections? Also, any ideas who ripped/torrented/uploaded the other 2? I'm fairly certain that Emil007 ripped/torrented Donkey Konga 3. Based on posts, HCS uploaded Donkey Konga 3.

Metroid Prime 1: This was one of the first distributed sets. After some checking and discussion, it looks like UNKNOWNFILE ripped this set, and uploaded the torrent to a few sites. However, HCS also recieved a set from someone else (currently unknown), which is where the RSF (and 4 other SFX) files came from. The version currently on the tracker is UF's rip, plus the "missing" files, which were ripped by someone else.

MP2 Demo: Who ripped this?

Anything I left out of the specifics, I feel didn't need an explanation, but I'd still like any information anyone has to offer. So, please, look over the list, and if there's something you have to contribute, in any way, please do so. Once again, I've confirmed as much of this list as I can with my current means. Any help/corrections are greatly appreciated. Mouser X out.

[EDIT] The list has been updated again. I got some clarification from HCS, and UNKNOWNFILE. Hopefully more information can be gathered later.

I can send the adx files used in Super Monkey Ball DX(X-box version). I listened to it and all of them are just from the original versions on the cube, but maybe some people are interested(and i think the sample rate is higher than on the cube, but haven't checked that)

BigCN401 wrote:

Thanks for that. I've updated the list. As I said, any help, whatsoever, is greatly appreciated.

As for Super Monkey Ball DX, if that's the same as Super Monkey Ball on the GC, then the sample rate of the GC is almost always 32kHz. While I haven't checked the set to be sure this is the case, if the Xbox version is higher than that, there's a pretty good chance that your's is higher than the one currently on the server. If you want to upload it, you'll have to contact HCS about getting a login on the server. Hope that helps. Mouser X out.
by BigCN401 at 2:39 PM EDT on August 30, 2006
SMB1 are 48kHz and SMB2 are 44.1kHz (except for some adp file that are in 48kHz)... but adp have no loop point so maybe people would like the songs that was originally in adp in their adx format.

Yeah, I would like to get my hands on the SMBDX adx music, if possible. The looping would be nice. Please do talk to hcs about uploading them.
