Anyone have an alternate download link for Pokemon Black & White 2? The main site downloads at sub 8KB/s and it dropped the connection at 12MB completed.
New Super Mario Bros by TheUltimateKoopa at 10:08 PM EST on November 11, 2012
There's a mistake in the current rip of New Super Mario Bros.
"The Bowser Badlands 1" is wrong. It should not have any kicks or snares. Only the hi-hats, and should have the "humming" instrument (I can't describe it, but it's like a wawwwwwww sound)
That's the only mistake I can see so far, but then, that's the only track in the game, that uses channel muting in game, as far as I know.
Here's a BRSTM I made of the correct Part 1 (using a YouTube video to listen to the correct instruments, and then using vio2sf to mute the instruments that weren't active): http://www.brawlcustommusic.com/brstm/26103
Wait, you haven't? Shame on you! Anyway, I can at least type a list out... and what do you mean "no point"? No point in what? I meant for example, rename "003E NCS_BGM_DUNGEON" to "Cave Dungeon", or "0041 NCS_BGM_ATHRETIC" to "Slider".
What would be the best way of renaming them? SHould they be renamed simply by where they play, or what scene they play at? E.g. "Boss Intro", or something exciting like "OMG! LIKE A BAWSS" or something?
Yes, no real point, because the USF titles will only go so far. There's extra tracks in the DS soundtrack that would still be untagged, and it's those songs which are interesting/the whole reason for having a 2SF set as well. Also some things like the cap songs that would not have the same titles anyway. Presumably someone out there has already tagged an mp3 set of it, it is a popular game.
Somehow I'm not sure if you're not reading my post(s) properly or something else.
I meant, for the songs in Super Mario 64 DS that are also in Super Mario 64, use the original Super Mario 64 soundtrack titles for THOSE songs AND then use whatever is appropriate for the songs in Super Mario 64 DS that are exclusive to THAT game. There's no "official" titles for any of the new songs in the game. So I'd just put "Sunshine Isles", rather than try and make it sound clever (or unclever) like "Beach Party Bonanza Yay Happy Time Wee". Just name the non-SM64 i.e. SM64DS-exclusive tracks after their levels...
Somehow you're acting like I'm saying ONLY use the SM64 tracknames. I'm not stupid. And neither are you. I clearly said use the SM64 names for the songs that are originally from SM64, and then just use what's appropriate for the REST of the songs, including minigames, and stuff.
"Somehow you're acting like I'm saying ONLY use the SM64 tracknames."
Nah, he's just saying he doesn't care about those tracks, since he's already got them in the usf rip, so why bother. The point is that he doesn't know the "what's appropriate" names for the rest of the tracks because he hasn't played the game to know. "Oh! this is the Sunshine Isles track," doesn't work if you've never played sunshine isles.
What fridgey said (and I'll elaborate.) I'm understanding everything you're saying perfectly well and it's clear you're missing the point and working yourself up into a froth for no reason.
"I meant, for the songs in Super Mario 64 DS that are also in Super Mario 64, use the original Super Mario 64 soundtrack titles for THOSE songs"
Well yes, that isn't in dispute. There's no point doing it unless I'm tagging the entire set, which I can't do, because...
"AND then use whatever is appropriate for the songs in Super Mario 64 DS that are exclusive to THAT game."
I haven't played it, nor do I have a tagged mp3 set, so I don't know what is appropriate, I wouldn't know to use "Sunshine Isles" for example, and I'm not about to bullshit my way through tagging the set, someone who has played the game needs to do it, and presumably they already have. I didn't say anything about making up fanciful titles, either, so I don't know where you're getting that from.
If I were to do it, how should I order them (i.e. number them)? Should I do them in a similar order to the SM64 OST, but then add the extra tracks in where they'd normally fit? And then should I put mini-games and stuff after the credits? And then, what order should I put the minigames?
I have no idea dude, that's another reason why I was hesitant to do anything, I figure the "order of appearance in the game" approach makes most sense, though it would contravene the OST ordering... it's a trade-off either way.

Can someone try to rip the Adventure Time game? VGMToolbox's NDS-2-2SF function doesn't seem to be working for this one with me (and I have testrom.nds)
Right now I'm currently updating the Pokémon Black and White Soundtrack. I can't believe that it's missing two PokéTransfer tracks, and yet they are in the 2SF set itself (the ones with POKEBOX in their filenames), so I put them back in their proper places. Also, for some reason, Driftveil Drawbridge's length is set to 22 minutes, so I shortened it properly. I also identified some additional tracks that are not in the soundtrack (would you believe me that "Now for the Adventure" has a part 2 that is not in the CD soundtrack?). The other tracks must be duplicates (sorry, I'm still not that far in the game). I also managed to identify BGM_E_INISHIE as Relic Song and BGM_VS_WCS as WCS Champion. And last but not least, can somebody disable the ambience of Skyarrow Bridge? It's annoying!
Driftveil Drawbridge is so long because they put a Charizard's cry (I think it was Charizard after all...) into it after that long 11 minutes... nothing anyone would care about, I presume.
Bump from hell! I did an almost-complete tag of Blazer Drive. The 2sf versions of the main theme lack vocals so I didn't tag them as track 01. There's also one song that's either unused or not on the OST. The rest are tagged. Hooray.
Feel free to edit it to your satisfaction if you can improve it.
EDIT: also, erm, while I'm here, anyone know where I can get Super Princess Peach 2sfs? I'm sure there was a set, but I don't have it/can't find it. Weird.
