Actually, we're already pretty sure that there's quite a few Wii games that have streamed music. The problem is that the Wii ISOs that have been ripped all still contain their Nintendo encryption. As such, we are still unable to find out what data the Wii ISOs contain. The TP music that the torrent contains comes from the GC version, not the Wii version. And yes, I, and numerous others, have tried reading the Wii ISOs with GC decryption software. However, every single one I found and tried crashed. So, as of yet, we don't have any means by which streamed Wii audio can be ripped. I find it rather disappointing, actually... Mouser X over and out.

Dont ask, but somehow, i managed to get the SSBB rom loaded, and I managed to decrypt it. I though you guys knew how to decode Wii roms?

Anyway, open the iso goto www.cheatengine.org, download it, run the tutorial, after you're good with it, stuff around and you should be able to decrypt the ISOs. I'm currently working in VisualBasic to try and make a decrypter.

On another note, could someone upload the Rayman3 in_cube files? (I say in_cube as I do not know whether it uses DSP or not...)
by marioman at 9:08 PM EDT on September 27, 2007
Huh? First of all, CheatEngine cannot open ISOs. It is a simple RAM hacker. (Well, it does other things, but opening ISOs is not one of them.)

Secondly, Super Smash Bros. Brawl hasn't even come out yet. So I have no clue how on earth you got an ISO.

Thirdly, take it easy on the board. It helps us all get to your posts faster if you don't flood us with lots of posts.
by hcs at 9:17 PM EDT on September 27, 2007
I haven't heard of any rip of SSBB being distributed yet, and in any case I wouldn't know how to do anything with it. If you ever get to the point where you have a filesystem to look at I'd like to heard about it, but it wouldn't belong in this thread, I'd think.
by unknownfile at 11:24 PM EDT on September 27, 2007
two choices:

1) correct your typo
2) admit it was a hoax
by wolupgm6 at 2:03 AM EDT on September 28, 2007
Sorry! I didn't mean get SSBB loaded with CheatEngine, I mean't load it with your ISO loading program, and hack that with CheatEngine. Also, as a parttime job, I work for Nintendo Of Australia. That is how I got the ISO.
by hcs at 4:49 AM EDT on September 28, 2007
See if you can dig up some Wii filesystem tools, too, while you're at it.

Tetra's Trackers is the North American title of Navi Trackers. All that game's text was translated for the US version and is still present on the US and PAL discs.

Interesting to note: Hyrulean Adventure is called Hyrule Adventure in the Japanese version (that title is even given in roman letters during the staff credits).

One of snakemeat's friends has been spendingg a lot of time with streaming audio stuff. As such, he's been porting some of his code to in_cube. Here's a link to a WIP that he's put out: http://www.sendspace.com/file/rlespk or http://stashbox.org/50204/in_cube.zip.

Please note that this is a WIP, and there are some known bugs. For one, it crashes when requesting file information. I haven't had a chance to test it yet, since I don't have access to most of the new formats that he's added. But, for those who do have access to some of the new filetypes (there's *a lot*), please feel free to try it out. If you notice a bug, or have a problem, please feel free to mention it. It might already be a known issue, but it can't hurt to let it be known again. Mouser X over and out.

Ferramenta, I think you're mistaken. What I know is that Tetra's Trackers was the name when it was stand-alone. Navi Trackers was what it was changed to when it became part of Four Swords Plus/Adventures.

by ugetab at 7:04 PM EST on November 17, 2007
How to skip the badongo program download:
run "cmd"

use "cd\" in the window

use CD to get to the folder with the downloaded files

run this command(copy it, right click in the command prompt, paste the text for ease of use):
copy /b Pac-Man_World_2_.DSPs.zip.aa + Pac-Man_World_2_.DSPs.zip.ab + Pac-Man_World_2_.DSPs.zip.ac + Pac-Man_World_2_.DSPs.zip.ad + Pac-Man_World_2_.DSPs.zip.ae Pac-Man_World_2_.DSPs.zip

use "exit" to quit the command prompt, and you should have the zip you're after. Test it's integrity with 7-zip if you're paranoid, but it should be simple enough from that point without any check.

Oh lodi! Downloading...
by P_L at 12:12 AM EST on November 19, 2007
I'm having a problem with the direct link to the Pac-Man DSP download breaking off every time I try to download it ... the most frustrating was when it got to 98% after nearly 2 hours and decided to kill the download then and there, forcing me to start over at 0%. What's weird is that no other part of my Internet set-up has any trouble around the time it breaks off ... is this server just not able to hold a stable connection for me for that length of time or what?

*Begins download attempt #6*
by Mouser X at 12:36 AM EST on November 19, 2007
You could try getting a download manager. It's actually recommended that you do. I use "Free Download Manager" and it works great. Apparently, Servage (where hcs64.com is hosted) is known to be unstable for extended periods of time. Thus, you should probably try it with a download manager, so that you can resume your broken download. Hope that helps. Mouser X over and out.
by P_L at 12:43 AM EST on November 19, 2007
I'm using Firefox's "DownThemAll!" extension now as recommended to me through an MSN conversation, and it seems to be doing fine now.
by Mouser X at 1:12 AM EST on November 19, 2007
I would have recommended that one as well, but I wasn't *sure* you were using Firefox. DownThemAll is pretty nice, and does some things better than FDM. FDM has a lot more features though, and is less likely to lose data if you crash. In the case of DownThemAll, keep tabs on your Windows TEMP directory. If for some reason, data is downloaded, but then it loses track of that data, it never gets deleted, unless you do so yourself. There was once I freed up over 1 GB by deleting the "dta" directory in the Windows TEMP directory. Usually though, DTA only loses data if you've had some form of a crash (my laptop was terrible for that, and that's why there was so much extra data).

Either way, both come recommended. FDM is a little more robust, but DTA is certainly nothing to shake a stick at either (I use both, depending on the situation). Good luck this time around. Mouser X over and out.
by P_L at 1:14 AM EST on November 19, 2007
Well apparently that's no good either as it STILL reset itself near the end and had to be manually restarted ... I might just resort to using the Badongo thing if this is the crap I have to go through just to get it in one piece.

... Or not, since every link on the Badongo page is for me a redirect to a blank screen.

This is truly a frustrating situation.

edited 1:22 AM EST November 19, 2007

EDIT: Well it was tense, but at long last DownThemAll pulled through and everything works. :) Great stuff - I always liked this soundtrack.

A quick look at your program in IDA suggests that it rejects everything.
by wolupgm6 at 4:53 AM EST on December 7, 2007
Well, It Doesn't. Once You Have The Correct Security/Protection/Encryption Code, The Program Asks You To Locate WinRar. The Program Extracts The Game Into An Unreadable Format And Compresses The Header. It Then Breaks Apart The File Into Four Seperate Files, Recompiles And Compresses Them And Uses WinRar To Make Them A RAR File.

Nintendo's First Four Are Always 3994. The Next Three Are Unique For Each Game. The Others Are Unknown. I Hope This Narrows It Down, Guys.

Known Codes:

SmashBrosBrawl 3,9,9,4,4,8,7,?,?,?,?,?,?,?

Well, fsb is just a coincidence it has the same extension. I feel such a fool

anyway I extracted the wad, wam and waa files from rayman ravin rabids but they're not playing with the latest version. All I get is static.
the rayman 4 extractor worked on it(found it on http://ipb.extractor.ru/index.php?showtopic=1516) and in_cube recognises it as wam/waa/wad files even if i change extension.

Here's an example. ONce they work in a new in_cube version I will post the entire batch(i'm tired waiting for the extracting and decrypting a single wii rom. It takes such a long time).

Thanks for obsoleting the Sound Test code with some ADXs. It's great to have access to the music in a convinient way. I try not to glut on downloads, but this is just beyond my passing up.

I offer to match up the tracks to the sound test info, if there's any interest by Mouser X. I'm sure many could do this, but I'm motivated to do what little I can, and I'm feeling more motivated as I listen to my favorites in this set.
by Mouser X at 2:45 AM EST on January 30, 2008
Do what you want with these ADXs. I didn't even know a sound test existed. I have the OST, I think. I liked it, which is why I got these files (they're from the PS2 version, if I didn't mention that).

I have a gift for you fellow music buffs, an archive i've been meaning to upload for awhile now.

Cut to the chase, it's an ADP music archive from the Metroid Prime Trial Edition, found only on the GameCube Interactive Multi Game Demo Disc 07 (KIOSK).

There's only 10 tracks, however, since it is in ADP format, the archive weighs roughly 150Mb.

One last thing I would like to mention before I provide a link, there are indeed "beta" tracks (intro-cinemaEb.adp, and ice-world.adp).

I remember playing it over and over again, trying to get past the "Parasite Queen". I accomplished this several times by examining absolutely nothing on my way to it (the P.Queen), but the demo timer expired before I could make it out of the Space Station...

There are some other interesting things in this demo though, aswell, such as beta textures, stuff that "isn't there" in the final, etc.

If I had the bandwidth, i'd share it with everyone, but unfortunately I don't. :(

EDIT:

The timer is set to only 10 minutes!!!

EDIT2:

hcs, this is just for you...

It seems our good friends at Nintendo left us another goodie on this disc...

oh, sweet, check this out:
g721_decoder__FiP10g72x_state

RSF is G.721! Tested and proved! And Retro used Sun's public domain decoder for it, by these function and struct names.
I'll have an updated vgmstream with this as soon as I can.

What, no in_cube support? ;P

Glad I, or the MAPs rather, could be of help!

Hm, have you tried extracting the file, editing that time listed there, and reinserting the file (or even searching for that in a hex editor and changing it?
