Kirby: Star Allies missing tracks by Tanookirby at 10:23 PM EST on January 18, 2021
I mentioned this before in one of the stickied threads, but it didn't get much attention. In the game rip, I noticed that some tracks from the CD soundtrack, such as this one, are not present. Are these unobtainable, or are they in a different format?

Starship Defense/Starship Patrol 2SF: Broken? by Lunar at 10:39 AM EST on January 19, 2021

newest version of vgmstream causing other plugins not to work by Orion96 at 1:53 AM EST on January 22, 2021
Hey everyone! I've been using Winamp for many years as my music player, and I haven't had many issues with it until today. For whatever reason, a few of my plugins suddenly decided not to work. The first one I noticed wasn't working was my DSF plugin. I downloaded Chipamp, and that fixed most of the problems, but it installs an old version of vgmstream from 2013. I replace it with the newest version, and that fixes the vgmstream files, but then it causes multiple other plugins not to work. I'm not sure why this is suddenly happening, but I would appreciate some advice!

DOS .vgm to .mid? by MoldyPond at 5:06 PM EST on January 24, 2021
Two things, I was wondering if there happens to exist a version of the original DOS title screen music for Transport Tycoon in either .gm or .mid format (highly unlikely knowing the Windows version was "Deluxe" and had a different song), or if not then if there's any way to convert the DOS .vgm file to either .gm or .mid? From what I've been able to find, it does seem like a .mid version exists from here, however this is only an .ogg recording. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
Yoshi's Woolly World music question by Tanookirby at 11:46 PM EST on January 25, 2021
I've been observing the music file rip of the WiiU game Yoshi's Woolly World, and I've noticed that some pairs of tracks sound identical. Examples include tracks with 32k in their names and pairs composed of one listed as dspadpcm and one listed as pcm16. With the exception of file size, I have found no obvious differences between each pair. Could anyone tell me if there is a difference in terms of sound?
Xenogears -> MIDI/SF2? by fedex1 at 1:36 PM EST on January 26, 2021
I would like to get the midi and sf2 for every tracks in the game.

I downloaded the PSF files here as always: https://www.zophar.net/music/playstation-psf/xenogears

I tried opening up "216 Awakening.psf" into VGMtrans, meanwhile the sequence file is correct (even though the last segment of the song is not present in the midi) I don't seem to get the correct sf2 file. VGMtrans display two sf2 to export "wds 251" and "wds 68".
But the 251 isn't extracting at all, if I extract the 68 it isn't simply correct when importing in sforzando (70% of instruments are incorrect).

So is there any way to get the full sf2?

Thx
Some questions about the Cookie Run OvenBreak midi files. by RiffOsci at 10:28 AM EST on January 27, 2021
So, I've seen some users successfully extracted all the CROB midi files and decrypted them, and I also wanted to do that. But there is something that got me confused for a while, if people found the MIDI's, how did they managed to find it and where are they? I downloaded the latest .apk, checked in the folder named "sound", and all it has is these files.

"bank_list"
"Init.assets.bank"
"Init.bank"
"MasterBank.assets.bank"
"MasterBank.bank"
"MasterBank.strings.bank"
"soundbank.crb"
"SoundEff_UI.assets.bank"
"SoundEff_UI.bank"

I extracted all of them and the .fsb files inside (not the soundbank.crb one.), but sadly, no MIDI's found. Only the title screen sound effects are present.

Do I have to look closer in order to find them? If so, how and where?

Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair PC TXTP? by MoldyPond at 12:15 PM EST on January 31, 2021
I recently decided to look at the uploads available here for Impossible Lair and noticed that the Switch version has been updated with the Tater-Tot Tunes 8-bit files as well as TXTP files (thank god). The question I have is if it's possible to get those TXTP files for the PC version, as all the Switch files are in 32000Hz whereas the PC version is at 48000Hz. Also the PC upload doesn't include all the .bnk files and was wondering if those could be included as well as they include a few jingles that aren't in either upload. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
Channel muting in foo_input_adplug? by VGMStreamer at 2:11 PM EST on February 2, 2021
I'm not sure if this is suited for this forum, but I was wondering if there is a way to mute individual instruments or channels with adplug for foobar2000?

I'd like to output each channel to a separate WAV file based on the plugin's current configuration settings. Currently, the best way to do this is to use a third party application to split an source sequence into separate sequences per instrument. This works, but has the drawbacks of only working with formats the third party application supports and the resulting file doesn't always line up perfectly with the original, which can cause problems with timing.

Is there a way to select specific channels when using plugin? And if not, is this even a plausible idea?
Kingdom Hearts Re:CoM PSH to MIDI? by Gress at 6:04 PM EST on February 3, 2021
I was trying to get the files from Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories' soundtrack to I could convert them to midi, I downloaded them from psf2.joshw.info. It took me by surprise that the files weren't in the usual psf2 format, they are in psh.

I tried to open the files on VGMtrans, but it wasn't able to play them. Is there a way for me to play and convert them to midi and sf2 files?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Can’t search beyond page 1 on JoshW by RandomHajile at 9:11 PM EST on February 6, 2021
I contacted bxaimc, whom I’ve read from somewhere to be JoshW’s admin, on discord but received no answer so maybe someone can help me on this.

I can’t turn to pages 2 or more on JoshW. The site just reverts back to the top of the same page when clicking on hyperlinked page numbers or “next”.

Or perhaps any suggestions on who else to contact to regarding this.

Thanks in advance for your help!
Mega Man Battle Network 6 MIDIs + SF by TheLegendofRenegade at 12:51 PM EST on February 8, 2021
Apologies if this is a dead issue already covered. MMBN6 is the only game in the whole series that isn't compatible with VGMTrans or GBAMusRiper, and from what I can hear the music sounds very similar to the first 5 games, so I'm assuming it uses the same sound driver?

The only clues I could find online was a thread where someone mentioned the game uses a different soundbank for every song, and that the instrument sets were HUGE, so this was causing an issue for GBAMusRiper.

Could anyone please confirm if there is a way around this, because I really want to remix some of the songs in the game and it's eluded me thus far.

noob question: how to turn the volume up on layered bfstms using txtp? by porocopi16 at 4:16 AM EST on February 22, 2021
So I'm looking at how to make txtps and one thing has me spaghetti'd in how to actually use it.

Specifically for splatoon on the wii u, the bfstms when played from that game make the dynamic channels on layered bfstms much softer for some reason. i'd like to just turn them to the same volume that the main channel is playing at, but i'm unsure the command to make it work.

here're a few from that game that have an example of what i'm talking about

STRM_Boss_Last01
STRM_Mission04
STRM_Mission05

it isn't just splatoon but the wording on the txtp format is so confusing i don't know how to make it perform the simple task of keeping the loop and everything the same but bumping up the volume of a few channels in the back (while maybe blocking some in the case of the first song)

local nerd desperate to get sound effects from Saturn game by CJofCourse at 6:07 PM EST on March 4, 2021
hello there, I have managed to find my way here after hours of internet digging, this is my last hope.

TLDR: read the below TLDR or the bottom paragraph, the rest is...a sob story I guess? idk. point is the middle is pretty pointless.

TLDR: If anyone has a file/folder with all the SSF files from BUG! for the SEGA Saturn (not just music), I will be eternally grateful. If not, could someone at least point me towards or create a tutorial on how one would go about ripping all these noises?

It all started in the early 2000s, when I was a wee lad. I was gifted a copy of BUG! to play on my dad's Sega Saturn. It rapidly became my favorite game, and in many ways, still is.

Now, in the present day, I could put it behind me, but no. You see I've gotten into video editing and streaming, and one time, I thought about using a sound effect or two from BUG!. I put the thought behind me and moved on. But the thought grew while I wasn't looking, it fed on my subconscious, and now, years later, it overpowered me and compelled me to search for the sound effects. Now that I have begun my journey, I cannot stop, my mind is a train without brakes and I can only hope to arrive at my destination before I derail.

I began searching for a way to rip sounds from a Sega Saturn ROM and quickly realized I was a fish out of water. Downloading AudioOverloader was simple enough, reading about SSF files and what-not is fascinating, but all I know about Python code is "hello world". Using these scripts would require learning, time, and effort!

But then, just when I was about to give up or give in to the process, I came across a beacon of hope, the holy grail: http://ssf.joshw.info/

I quickly checked under "b/" and there it was! My precious! I downloaded and extracted it and started listening. Ahhhh those sweet, sweet, awful sounding tunes. It was perfect. Until, the more I kept listening, the sooner I realized it was just the music, there were no sound effects or voice lines.

I checked the note included in the .zip and saw how much hell the archiver went through to narrow it down. I don't want to go through that lol. I ran a quick google search for joshw and SSF, hoping to find a way to contact him and see if he backed up those 2000 tracks. It led me here, to a whole community!

If any of you have the SSF files, or the skill to extract them, I beg you to send them to me. (or if you happen to be "joshw" and didn't truly delete the files you "nuked") I have the passion and spare time to sort through them all looking for what I want. Thank you for reading, and potentially helping :)

How to extract MIDI files from Dreamcast games? by fedex1 at 5:54 AM EDT on March 19, 2021
In particular I would like to extract midi from these two games:

- Nobunaga no Yabou: Reppuuden
- Nobunaga no Yabou: Shouseiroku with Power-Up Kit

First of all, I tried downloading the .dsf files from the zophar domain (which are the music files) but I can't convert them to midi with any of the available software.

Then I tried downloading the full ROM and extract the content from the .bin and I can find a "SOUND" folder, but inside the music tracks are .NB8 extension (for the "Reppuuden" ROM) and .MLT (for the "Shouseiroku" ROM).

How to extract midi from .NB8 and .MLT extension, if possible?

Thanks

Better PSF2 decoder for KH2? by dachschaden at 3:34 PM EDT on March 23, 2021
I'm using foo_psf to decode some PSF2 files, in particular KH2; doesn't matter if regular or FM, I noticed that sometimes certain instruments are being muted if other instruments reach certain volumes (a channel thing)? The version the plugin plays doesn't match either with the official soundtrack or the version that PCSX2 plays. Most recognisable in "Working Together", "Unknown", and "Rage Awakened".

vgmstream doesn't have PSF2 support, so does anyone know of a better PSF2 plugin or a way to properly convert PSF2 files to WAV/FLAC?

ATTN: Dark_Ansem - Re: Divinity Original Sin EE upload by kode54 at 9:33 PM EDT on March 23, 2021
Please, at your earliest convenience, acquire MultiPar from this link, if you wish to complete your upload properly. The file is damaged, and I have the last recoverable copy.

http://hp.vector.co.jp/authors/VA021385/

Extract the latest version to a folder, and run MultiPar.exe.
Click "Add Files".
Add the working .rar archive as you uploaded it, hopefully you didn't delete it.

Leave Redundancy set to 0.0% first, and click Create.

I'll need the index parity file it creates for you to go any further toward recovering the upload. Otherwise, this 1.2GB archive is next to useless.

Thanks for trying, at least. This tool should make it possible for me to repair the archive completely with minimal additional data from you. The index will let me determine how much redundancy I need, if any.

(Mis)understanding crosstrack by LouieG at 1:53 AM EDT on April 1, 2021
So for the heck of it I've been trying to recreate this recording with vgmstream and a txtp. Since it's broken up into five phases/bcstms, I tried segments, which was serviceable but had abrupt transitions. From the documentation, layers mode + the crosstrack macro sounded like what I needed, but on application it didn't seem to do anything. I'm guessing I misunderstood the documentation, so how should I be using crosstrack? Alternatively, is there a better way to smoothly transition between two phases of a piece?

The archive comes with an IPS file for creating unoptimized gsflib files.

The most core work of ripping is done, but I got bored before I could explore the song pointers to pass to minigsf.

Also, the initialization and interrupt routines leave some processing unrelated to sound, so you can try to optimize those if you want to reduce the CPU load to the ultimate.

So, a couple notes while digging the game files.

1-the old tools only work partially. I tried the AFC extractor on ME2 files and it can only find around half the files.
2-BGM files appear to have doubled in bitrate size. They still are WWise ogg files however. Still no clue about loop points, but maybe they are found in PCC files, some help would be really appreciated
2.5-loop points, and general audio information, might be buried inside the PCC files, but I have no idea how to browse them, for the life of me.

Panzer Dragoon Saga: extracting missing tracks from the ROM by fedex1 at 6:01 AM EDT on June 3, 2021
Hello,

I’m currently extracting all the music files from the rom of PDS, I can get the .seq (midi) and .bin (soundbank) for every track basically, but I can’t seem to find some tracks that are on the official memorial album of Panzer Dragoon Saga, liek “Into the promised land”, “Tears”, "Village of Zoah", "Eternal Farewell" and more.

How to get them? They are in a different format? They were only added in the release album and not in the official game?

You can get a list of all the files here: https://hiddenpalace.org/Panzer_Dragoon_Saga_(Dec_22,_1997_prototype)

Need help ripping a Wii game's MIDIs. by raulix at 11:03 PM EDT on June 5, 2021
I need help ripping a game called Club Penguin: Game Day. For some reason when ripping them with vgmtrans_wtl its DLS and SF2 are really buggy. Everytime I try to use the SF2 on FL Studio it just crashes. Everytime I apply the DLS in Fruity LSD it assigns them to the wrong tracks.

But, opening the MIDI in OpenMPT along with the DLS works. The only issue is that some intruments have no attack or release tweaks and makes them horrible.

Can anyone help me here?

Hi, I dont know if this is the right place to ask. I am trying to find the soundtrack to the GameBoy Color game Dancing Furby and cant find it anywhere. Checked all the VGM sites, the joshw gbs directory and its not there.
I dont know how the music gets ripped, so Im asking if anyone can direct me to a way to rip it or if someone is willing to do it for me?
Thanks.
Lufia & the Fortress of Doom spc request by rockman7777777 at 10:17 PM EDT on June 14, 2021
Hello.

Would someone here be able to rip the first two songs from the Lufia 1 soundtrack in stereo for me? The only way I know how to rip spcs myself is by using the rip spc function in ZSNES or SNES9X. I noticed the game's default sound setting is mono and the first two songs play at a point in the game before you are able to change this to stereo, so trying to rip them the only way I know how to gives me a spc that's in mono. I tried the restored hack from romhacking.net that says it starts in stereo but I noticed that even though it is set to stereo by default, the songs play in mono until you change the sound setting to mono then back to stereo then load the next song. If anyone could rip these songs for me I would really appreciate it. Or if someone could find a music modifier code, that would also be helpful. I don't know much about how to hack games, so any help is appreciated.

http://snesmusic.org/v2/profile.php?profile=set&selected=1541
I'm sure most people who played the game would know the two songs I'm referring to, but just in case they are 01 Departure and 02 The Battle of the Island in the Void. It appears that the ones in this set from snesmusic are also in mono.

Hi all. I'm trying to rip the music from Bomberman Land 2 on gamecube. Zophar's music already has the PS2 version ripped but I'm trying to get the gamecube version to compare them.

Using dolphin I found two .dig files which I believe have the files. And I have no idea how to proceed from here. Any ideas?

Unplayable Files by JackTheRipper at 4:59 AM EDT on June 26, 2021
Some files are unplayable, anyone update the info.

Games:
*Shrek 2 (buggy dsp, also some random fmv format which needs to be demuxed)(GC, 2004)
*Superman: Shadow (has STR2 and VAGa header, .vid files which needs to be demuxed)(PS2, 2002)
*Zapper (Xbox, 2002)
*Shrek 3 Superslam GC/Wii GCUB sound.dat/hdr (some files are buggy)
*Wallace & Gromit Project Zoo (GC, 2003)
*High Voltage bank like files throughout the years [Charlie, KND, Grim Adventures] (GC)
*Sneak King (Xbox, 2006 - .wav/.str)
*The Fairly OddParents: Breakin' Da Rules (GC, 2003 and file named dance_beatmatch which is unplayable on PS2)
*Mono .THP file (seen on Vilgax Attacks, Purple Planet, and some other games)
*Muppets Party Cruise (GC, 2003)
*Angry Birds Star Wars (Wii U/Wii, 2013) - Some ambience files are surround 32k while music is stereo.
*Vicious Engine titles throughout the years mus (v1)/.str (v2) headerless file (Wii U, Wii? (Use txth), PS2? use (txth), 360? (use xma_transform), PSP/PS3/PSV have headers on them) (PS2/PS2 data.pak - use riff extractor for psp version|use vgmtoolbox's sony adpcm for ps2 version, despicable me ps2 use 0x10 interleave and 44100 sample rate at stereo, while other ps2 games are mono .mib)
*Spongebob's Atlantis Squarepantis (Wii/PS2, 2007) (But most of the files are playable while the Files named Level4 and Level14 are unplayable)

Anyone tried extracting Sound_Common.bf that has higher sample rate (48,000hz) than most other versions (24,000hz) from Rayman Raving Rabbids (360) which the header start with BIG (00000000) where the names are located at (000138C0) and it ends with some garbage footer (50F2F34A).

Some Alchemy engine games failed to extract some of its files for some reason, but when using a embedded fsb extractor which can help (IGA. - Madagascar 2 [Wii, PS2], .AGI - Swap Force|Superchargers|Imaginators [360, PS3]).

Super Monkey Ball Adventure (PS2 - Music.MB) individual files can be extracted with vagguess with the interleave of 10000 and sample rate of 44100, .ads header remove bytes at 0-27

High Voltage (LSL MCL?, PC uses CRI media formats) [Charlie - 48,000HZ, later titles like Zathura, KND, Grim Adventures - 32,000HZ (PS2 - *.MIA)] individual files can be extracted with vagguess with the interleave of 4000 and sample rate as mentioned above, .ads header remove bytes at 0-27 and use txth, .mih has some missing samples.

Justice League *.vat file (mouth.vat contains voice clips) (PS2 - some files can be extracted with VGMToolbox's Sony ADPCM extractor or VAG_Scanner.exe but vagguess doesn't extract some of the multiple streams like music and ambience, Xbox)

Mojo - Resource.rez (has audio files inside them but contains .pss - PS2, .bik - Xbox)

Bee Movie (DATA.DAT - PS2 ADPCM, STREAMS.DAT - 360 XMA|PC IMA)

Sonic Riders (SND.dat and executable file - use xpert to extract them)

SEGA Superstars Tennis (RESOURCE - PS3 MSF [4D53460200]|Wii ISWS .WAS|PS2 MultiStream .mib/.mih/.mic)

Alvin (PS2 MIB/MIH.paks names start at 00000448, mih files are 64 bytes, files start at 00000E00)

Ruff Trigger (PS2 Musics.MB2/.MBH .mih files are 64 bytes, individual files can be extracted with vagguess - remove .ads header at 0-27)

Spider-Man 3 (PS2/Wii Audio.pak - use FSBII to extract them)

Where the Wild Things Are (Streams/Sounds.res - in the 360 version use any zlib extractor on the sounds.res file then use ravioli, fsbii, or VGMToolbox cutter [HEADER: FSB4])

PSS files
00 00 01 BA 44 00 04 00 04 - Start Offset
00 00 01 B9 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 - End Offset

Spider-Man 3 (PS3 *.PS3SSB - don't use fsbii, USE vgmtoolbox to extract them with the offset of 4653423301000000 and delete some bad ones)

THQ OZ (GC DSP?/PS2 VAGp/Xbox XACT WBND|SDBK *.sounds file - use vgmtoolbox to extract them with the following offset as mentioned above)

Activision games NSLB header, seen in Call of Duty 3 (All), Kung Fu Panda (PS2 interleave 800, and Wii versions only) (360/XMA, PS3/MP3, PS2/ADP, XBOX/IMA, GC|Wii/DSP?) (.wbk) - use ravioli for ps3 files, use any riff extractor for the 360 files, use vgmtoolbox's sony adpcm extractor or VAG_Scanner.exe for the ps2 files

HVS Quantum3 .dir/.wad (*.gcm/gcs, *.xbm/xbs, *.psm/pss, *.r4m/r4s *.avl/vol) - weconduit needs some support for other games like Ben10:POE, I-Ninja, Family Guy, Astro Boy, Iron Man 2, Catwoman, Nick Fit, Diego Dinosaur, Dora

Mass Media *.blt file (Tetris Evolution uses some random headerless unknown codec?)

SMFOF PS2 Data.bin (Contains multistream files *.mic/mib/mih at 32000hz and interleave of 4000) (try this offset 3030303030303030303030303030303030303030303030303030303030303030 to extract and then remove that offset)

Zelda: Skyward Sword missing tracks? by Tanookirby at 8:29 PM EDT on July 4, 2021
I've been listening to the track's tunes from the JoshW site and noticed that a few tracks I found on an mp3 rip are not on the brstm set. Examples include music from small enemy encounters and a variation of the Skyview Temple that could not be replicated using txtp files. Is that all that was extracted from the game?

Cookie Run OvenBreak MIDI Stream Cipher Possibly Changed by kookeerawn at 12:41 AM EDT on July 6, 2021
The MIDI files in Cookie Run OvenBreak used the SALSA20 stream cipher since the soft launch in 2016.

As of the Season 6 update, the MIDIs are now using a different type of stream cipher, making SimonTime's gbsalsa tool useless.

The House of the Dead - Sega Saturn - .tad audio files by egregiousguy at 5:37 PM EDT on July 20, 2021
Hi everyone, was wondering if anyone was familiar with Sega Saturn audio formats and can help me out with this one. This comes from The House of the Dead and it appears that the music tracks are stored in the cdimage.elf file (which I extracted using the TOC and hashed filenames). The game also has CD audio tracks but they aren't used during game play and only used in music test mode. Anyhow, it appears to be a type of PCM audio (or ADPCM) at 22050Hz but that's as far as I've got. Header is [TPCMTADH] and sound data starts after [BODY][DATALEN]. Attached is a sample file. Thanks in advance!

rip sound files from UE4 game that uses wwise by dprods at 11:33 PM EDT on July 24, 2021
So I'm trying to extract sound files from Naruto to Boruto Shinobi Striker which runs off UE4.17. I tried to use UE Viewer (from gildor) but that showed all the sound files as 1KB and when I tried to extract them it said "0 of 0 extracted in 0s"

I did a bit more digging and this game uses some wwise format thing (not completely sure I was just told to rip wwise sounds from ue4). So now I've got all the game files and that's it. Anyone know where to go from here? Thx.

In my daily check on the Github for a new release, I find the software, just disappeared. (The readme had the links to the builds)

Upon further research, the reason (which has also since disappeared) only says 'copyleft infringement and removal of software', or something like that.

I hope that don't mean what I sadly think it means. x.x

Daigasso/Jam With The Band stage tracks possibilities? by MikuHatsune at 9:39 PM EDT on August 27, 2021
i've got a lotta nostalgic fondness for the shitty midi versions of (j)pop music and whatnot that were in these DS games, but the rips on the site only got the regular ds format bgm music..
i looked into it and it seems the actual rhythm game stages use some sort of midi format, and while i did find a folder of swavs with what sounds like soundfont instruments inside the sdats, i'm not very familiar with this level of manual midi ripping. basically just wondering if there's any tools or previously explored methods for trying to make this kinda music listenable again

Final Fantasy Tactics Midi Problem? by fedex1 at 11:20 AM EDT on September 16, 2021
So, I would like to get midi files from Final Fantasy Tactics, but the point is that I can get them using vgmtrans (and getting them from zophar.net).
I can extract the .midi and .dls files but they are really weird midis, because in every "sound bank" there are multiple instruments and the bank changes at every notes on the piano roll, plus sometimes the instruments doesn't play the exact instrument.
Now I actually had the patience to make some of the tracks, but really is there another way to actually have normal midi like other ps1 and ps2 midis?

3D Movie Maker File Extraction Help by MoldyPond at 3:40 AM EDT on September 19, 2021
I was looking for the MIDI files for 3D Movie Maker and noticed that they haven't been uploaded here yet. I have the original disc and tried looking for them on it myself and it looks like they are compressed in either a .3CN, .3TH or .CHK format, which I have no idea how to extract at all. I've tried looking elsewhere for answers but no luck yet. I've got a download for the potential file archives they might be in here.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
Pac-Man World 1 - mass-converting/playing ADPCM files by Mario123311 at 6:18 PM EDT on September 22, 2021
Recently a friend of mine just datamined and dumped pretty much the entirety of this game, as all it's resources were embeded into the executable itself. Sadly, I'm having trouble getting the sounds converted at a quicker pace, Foobar2000 won't read them with the vgmstream plugin, PSound works but takes forever, and I have to manually change the samplerate each time.

There's a manifest .txt file in each folder that has the exact sample rate each specific sound is to be played at, so I'm just wondering if there's a way I could get a better batch conversion for this.

i've seen a post made by JacintaB19 about ripping Sound effects from the Naomi version of Rhythm Tengoku, which did share some insight, however i'm seeing a lot of variation in the files for Wild Riders, the whole thing is basically only IC(XX) files. Any help would be appreciated, i'm really new to audio ripping but i'd love to learn.

The files can be found here for reference: Link

Thanks!
vgmstream: .txtp bit depth by MusicMantis at 3:16 PM EDT on October 10, 2021
Hi. I've got a series of layered audio files that are each 96000hz, 24-bit. When I load them up using vgmstream (I use foobar2000, but also tested using test.exe) it layers them as 96000hz, 16-bit. I'd like to preserve the source bit depth.

Looking a little bit closer, when loading up a single 24-bit audio file via .txtp (no additional commands, just "path\to\file.flac") it still outputs 16-bit despite no additional processing taking place.

Is this a limitation of vgmstream? Is is possible to preserve the full bit depth of the source files using it?
ExciteBike 64 ripping by braun at 1:34 PM EDT on October 11, 2021
i'm curious about why N64 Midi Tool, Soundbank Tool, and Sound List Tool don't support ExciteBike 64. if it's too non-standard to figure out, then I'll understand
