Way cool! by Yoshinkeru at 1:23 PM EDT on June 27, 2008
Never did beat that game myself. I only got to World 8 I think. Pretty neat that the Super version had the updated music (and the "HELP!" was a nice touch too).
I plan on ripping them to SPCs once I figure out how to. I've been experimenting on all my free time for the past few months or so. That explains why I haven't been here much. I'm up to world 8-5 or so with a game genie code I made that allows you to start from there.
You, sir, are a better man than all the other people that answered this thread; I was just about to suggest trying to do something like that, just because it couldn't be emulated without a SGB Emulator (and Heaven knows that ain't gonna happen! :P)! I wish you the the best of luck, nelsondubois, and on behalf of the entire Videogame Misic community, I give my sincere thanks. :D
Hm, this was brought up before with Kirby Star Stacker's music on the Super Gameboy. The soundtrack was quite significantly different to the Gameboy version, but I remember people reaching the conclusion that it'd be impossible to rip to SPC.
The only difference in Star Stacker's soundtrack was wind effects and clapping sounds no enhanced music. Indeed it is possible if you can get ZSNES to run the Z80 instructions of Gameboy but will take a lot of work to do.
