- Does anyone here have the .MIB rip of Devil May Cry (PS2) ? I'm having trouble ripping it , specifically from the 6th track . Apparently the songs without loops do not contain headers , and any adjustments I try to make to get to it's standard 0x4000 interleave seems to still make pop noises . So without the adjustments , it's for some reason a Mono track ( which it's not , ) and the interleave data is missing .

- @Koto: The point of that torrent was to get a bunch of files that Knurek was missing some years ago. I have it archived somewhere, so I may be able to start seeding it again, but expect to wait a while. The reason I don't keep it seeded is the dat has changed since then, and I have everything in 7z.
Actually, that torrent isn't even on the tracker anymore... you should probably just ask for whatever specific stuff you want.

- I have Tekken Tag GENH (MIB) rip by Cerberus , but the loops aren't correct and have certain bugs that may have something to do with the way Namco coded the music in-game . Example : King's theme doesn't loop properly / Hwoarang theme has fade out instrument playing at beginning of song .

- Yes, that's the tracker he's talking about. However, the "search" feature is not on the front page. You have to actually go to the "torrents" page to find the search feature. To access it, look along, and near, the top of the screen, and you'll see lots of various entries. "Torrents" is among them, and you can click on it.... The front page only shows the 5 most recently uploaded torrents, the <NUMBER> of most popular torrents, and the <NUMBER> of the torrents needing seeds the most. If you actually want to see the entire "collection", you need to dig a little deeper. Hope that helps. Mouser X over and out.

- Hey hcs, I know I'm 10 days late, but if you're willing to upload requests from Knurek's PS2 torrent, I'd be quite grateful to have the Elminage - Yami no Fujo to Kamigami no Yubiwa set. It's an attractive idea to me because it is real lossless and is much less loud and dynamic range compressed than the soundtrack CD.

Do I have it ripped? Yes
Is it playable? No
Why not? There isn't a multistream ATRAC3 decoder around.
Why not release it? It's pointless if I do right now. It's like a tease.
How long ago was it ripped? ooooooh long long ago, ever since PS3 was first jailbroken.
Can I try to rip it? Go ahead and try but good luck with that. I'm not telling how. Remember, botched rips are BAD.
I have this weird thing about releasing useless rips if they aren't playable with at least something. I'll release the 360 version soon though.

- @hcs: I don't want to be rude, but... Do you have any seeding problem? The Kotops2 it's seeding really slow, no matter the day it always download at 1 kb/s. I usually don't have speed problems with the torrents of these site.
Maybe you can do something about this. Or maybe not, I don't know. If there's nothing that you can do, I'll try to be VERY patience and wait. Thanks in any case.

- So! First of all thanks to BXAIMC for the massive work ripping and uploading the rips! I'm into archiving the music in raw format from the games!

I downloaded this pack, Sonic the Hedgehog 4 - Episode 1 (2010)(Sega)[PSN][CRI ADX ADPCM][AAX].zip, which contained the rips from the game. But all the files after S4EP1_15_Boss1_Mixed4816_wav don't play on winamp! So, I used the VGM ToolBobx CRI ADX extractor on the ones in question and they had sounds that didn't have anything to do with their titles, like mashing upp different adx from other songs ... some of them had like 4 random adx inside, while the normal is usually 2, 1 for the intro and the looping one. It's like the file offsets after that one are all messed up!
I successfully ripped the tracks from the Iphone version but they are at poor 22050Hz...
So I downloaded the HD version for the Ipad which is just double the size and... I discovered the sound is the same shit.
Then I, downloaded the PSN version, unpacked the PKG, got the CPK file and... wasn't able to extract it with quickbms or CPK Packed File Maker (which just worked like a charm on the wii)...
BXAIMC, Could you check if your rip is proper? My Iphone rip sounds bad because it's like that in game but all tracks are perfect! But I want the console version because they have 3 more songs and the quality is better 48000Hz!
Also I thought it could be my PS3 download that was corrupted but I downloaded it again from another source... same problem, equal files in both!
I'd post the CPK file... but it's almost 200mb.. :(.

Not sure if the CPK is the actual culprit but maybe the PKG unpacker is.

Yay! You were right! I used PKG Viewer 1.2 this time and the extracted CPK worked like a charm!
Now, could you validate my account (same nick) to use on the tracker? :) My IRC client is being gay about foreverchat server strangely!

- CriWare (the "ADX guys") used to keep a list of games/software that used their development kits. I assume they still keep such a list, but I haven't looked in a long time. Although not all those games use ADX (some use SFD for movies, or CPK, or AFS for archiving data, or stuff like that), it's a good start if you're looking for something like that.
As for such a list for other formats, as far as I know, no such "official" list exists ("official" in the same way that there's an "official" list of CriWare games). It's possible there's unofficial lists as constructed by people here (bxaimc, snakemeat, manakoAT, etc.), but I'm not sure any of them have received recent maintenance. There was a ripped VGM database, which contained all the rips, CRCs for the rips (or MD5 checksums? I can't remember), and the various alternate versions of said rips. It might still be up, but to the best of my knowledge, it hasn't been updated in more than a year.
Honestly, I'd say your best option is to log into the IRC chatroom and talk it over with the people there. If such an unofficial list exists, someone there would probably have it (even if it's just doing a search on their HDD through the collection, for a specific file type). Hope that helps. - You'd think they would be using lpcm or even dts,ac3 by now with all that BR space on those game discs for the ps3 and the xbox360.
Most people who paid big on those systems have good Sound Speaker setups, It is VERY DISAPPOINTING that many still using xma, 128kbps mp3s and oggs.. I guess it comes down to money and they give music

MP3 doesn't take that much to be decoded on the PS3 and Xbox 360 has hardware dedicated to XMA.
Using MP3 in a game requires a license (IIRC)

- Gotta wonder though, would the 360 or PS3 really not be able to handle 192kbps MP3 at least or something similar? Small bitrate increases above 128 still produce often noticeable results up to about 192. I guess the developers know and probably made their decision for a reason.
Haha, imagine how much worse the slowdowns in Skyrim on the 360 would be if they actually used good quality audio. :P They needed every spare kilobit they could get.

- Depends on the kind of CAF files you have. PCM CAF is playable, AAC CAF is not playable yet, and some IMA4 CAF is playable (Chrono Trigger CAF isn't yet).
