Animal Crossing + Yoshi's Story by fishonthecarpet at 2:22 AM EDT on September 11, 2005
... don't appear to work too well for me! When I open one up, it sits there and the equaliser goes wild (trying to load the thing I think it means), but doesn't do anything. Interestingly, for Animal Crossing, if I load one file, then close Winamp, and open again, it will play.

:( Anyone can help out? Much appreciated.

Use the newest plugin, 1.0b4, this will solve your problem

Beautiful, thanks alot guys. Appreciate the work too HCS and other rippers, bringing much joy : )

For whomever it may concern; I noticed some of the Yoshi's Story tracks are labelled as "unknown". I can identify some of those:

unknown2.minipsf - White Shy Guy / Yoshi Rescue
unknown3.minipsf - Baby Bowser Defeated
unknown4.minipsf - Baby Bowser Intro

I... don't EVER remember hearing the other two though =p. Perhaps unknown1 is a beta version of Mermaid's Tears (it's what it sounds like).

Oh.. and also, much thanks to all involved in creating the rip :) I can now delete more mp3s, and that always feels good.

Just out of curiosity, what is OST?
OST by Dais at 8:00 PM EDT on September 13, 2005
"OST" is for "Original Soundtrack" (or Sound Tracks or some such), and is usually a collection of the original music from a game, sometimes with an arranged track or two thrown in.

Or if you're more specifically asking what the OST for Yoshi Story is, it's Yoshi's Story Original Soundtrack (PCCG-00438):

This is good, yes? by Yoshinkeru at 8:28 PM EDT on September 13, 2005
Okay! So whoever does the tagging can use this, right? (Wish I had a tagwriter of some sort, so I could help out more...)
by hcs at 8:51 PM EDT on September 13, 2005
Observe my post here, I matched the OST track titles to the USFs shortly after it went online.
And you do have a tag writer, just use 64th Note with something other than foobar2k (even XMPlay will work).

I've fixed a few tracks and added some playlists, you can download the fixed set here

it is tagged like the european soundtrack, you can get the US-OST in the Preliminary-Section. I've also sent the Fix to hcs, but he only add the fix if he gets him from Josh W because it is his rip. So i posted it on the Board (with a few more fixes)
by hcs at 5:48 AM EDT on September 15, 2005
I'll host the modified version as soon as I get Josh's OK, but what's up now is authorized.
by Lunar at 12:11 PM EDT on September 15, 2005
Sorry to be a pain, though I noticed a couple of other tracknames that could be revised if you wished.

Credits.miniusf - this track is not used during the credits, but when you enter your name for the high scores. I think it's "Yoshi Disco" on the OST too.

Highscores.miniusf - scores after the final world (so maybe "Final Scoreboard.miniusf" as a suggestion, since "Scoreboard.miniusf" is used for all the others).
My word is final. by Josh W at 4:53 PM EDT on September 15, 2005
Indeed the song name is Yoshi's Disco

Highscores does however does seem to be an inappropriate name as it seems that low-scores can be present, and a name like Final Scoreboard does seem more appropriate.

Yes there does seem to be more than one name per song depending on the region of the release, however i was intending on sticking ot the US version naming. Why would there be different names for the same song in different regions

Sure, stick that new version up, it does seem more accurate than its predeccessor.

Oh and finally, the composers name is exactly Kazumi Totaka

by hcs at 10:20 PM EDT on September 15, 2005
So yoshifix.rar with the already online usflib?
Or should I wait until you figure out the alternate tracks?
