vgmstream, select channels to play by angelsl at 1:10 AM EDT on June 20, 2010
Some games (NSMBWii) have multiple channels in the brstms (after the first 2 for left/right speaker) that are only enabled when certain conditions are met, in NSMBWii when you are riding a Yoshi.

My suggestion is to edit the information box that comes up when you double click the filename in Winamp to have checkboxes so that you can enable/disable which channels are played.

Discuss?

Or, you could just use test.exe on the files and convert to wav. Then use an editing program like Audacity to remove the other channels.

Still, I see his point that it would be nice to have in the user interface.

Not to mention the fact that you'd be able to keep the files in their original format. No conversion, or editing, necessary. It sounds like a pretty good idea to me. Just my 2 cents. Mouser X over and out.

I had to do exactly what bxaimc said in order to remove the annoying drums from the songs. This feature would indeed be beneficial.

I'd like to add my concurrence, though it's kinda redundant by now. I was actually considering requesting this very feature, but decided against doing so myself for some reason...

In addition to it adding convenience, sometimes the enabled channel goes best with the main song, rather than being by itself (such as Bowser's boss fight in SMG). In these cases, it has an edge over just splitting the files.

Whats with this Mouser X over and out mullarky? Is this a child's forum or what? lol

Keep the files in their original format always the best way

He's been doing it as long as I've known him (which is since... 2004 or so).
Also, *malarkey.
