dbPoweramp converter does the job quite well but I could import those OGG files I got into Adobe Audition just fine without converting them to PCM wave.

I liked dbPoweramp back in the day too, but I dropped it when they started charging for their MP3 license.

Since then, I found a new program that does even more: xrecode II! Try it; you'll like it.

You can get the free MP3 encoder LAME for dbPoweramp.

When you convert from WAV to OGG you lose some quality. Did you try converting them to FLAC? I can't imagine why a WAV would be unplayable but still able to be converted. Is there something unusual about these WAVs?
