This is just a guess, but supposing it's possible to edit the Subject line, maybe there was originally some text there and he edited it back to nothing.

Honestly, I find it amusing that a thread, with no link to it, is getting attention at all. Quit posting here. It's difficult to check! :P

But, Vague Rant, that might very well be the case. Perhaps the person posted something, changed their mind, and couldn't delete it. So, they just deleted everything they could in the hopes it would disappear. I wonder if this is a bug in the forums?

Yeah, it was possible to set the subject to nothing, or all spaces, since I goofed up with the check upon editing. Fixed now.
