The .brstm files from Castlevania Rebirth can be played with winamp, vgmstream (in winamp\plugins directory) and the external dll files (in winamp directory).
Yeah I got the latest versions of all that, I made clean installations and everything but the .brstm play nothing but silence (they are all 1,00KB in size).
The files are too small, I don't think they were extracted correctly.
There are probably other methods but here is what I used to extract stream files from Castlevania Rebirth: 1) Download this archive, I included what you need to rip the game and other Wii games. I also included the (Common-)Key.bin required for each tool.
2) If your file is an iso archive, then use WiiScrubber to explore the partition folders (bgm, stream..) and extract the files that interested you. Play them with winamp + vgmstream + external .dll files (it doesn't always work, it depends on the file format you extracted and you have sometimes to use other tools to make them playable).
3) If your file is a wad archive (the file I have) use wwpacker to unpack it. Drag and drop the .wad archive to _wwunpacker.bat. It will create an external folder that contains .app files. Look at the big one (00000002.app), use ShowMiiWads to extract it. Go to stream folder and play the .brstm files with winamp and vgmstream.
Note that you have a .brsar file (dracula_sound.brsar) that contains sound effects. You can extract this archive with ripping_mama 0.1 from hcs stream ripping tools and play the .rwav files with winamp.
Thanks to you, I've managed to use these tools you provided me with and created a proper stream rip of Castlevania: The Adventure ReBirth. I've tagged every track and sent the rip to the tracker. ;)
