Black Ops "Raw" Waves by pepper at 12:15 AM EDT on July 26, 2011

Most assuredly not raw as in standard PCM, also too small to not be compressed, i've tried using genh to make an adpcm header, it's still static and never comes close no matter what i use for settings. Treyarch may have made their own adpcm variant for this one?

My rip of Black Ops is on the VGM Tracker. It's MS ADPCM by the way ;) My rip has all the headers fixed so it plays in Winamp.

These are from the FF files, not the same format as the ones in the IWD files. These came with the mod tools, in a folder named "Raw" when they are not.

Ah did not know that mate.

It's okay, the header structure is similar, they just dont decode as anything but static for me. (unlike the IWD ones)

No wonder, it's XMA

Oh my god what? IN A PC GAME? For fuck sakes, i even thought of that but decided not to test it since i figured it wouldnt be possible on a pc game. Thank you so much.

Ok so, any ideas on the process to convert these to wav? xmatest doesnt like them, nor towav.

Ok so now i'm using the toolbox, but i have no idea what some of the values should be, namely block size. 8000 as the default doesnt work.
by manakoAT at 12:15 AM EDT on August 2, 2011
Oh, I didn't notice it's for PC, I think i'm wrong then sorry...
Ok xbox this time by pepper at 2:02 PM EDT on August 3, 2011
Got a file from the xbox ff ones, still need some help, pretty sure these are xma:

Mainly, i dont know where the data stream starts, what the block size is, the length of the stream, etc.

I DO know that it's 48khz, and i can guess if its stereo or mono.

by pepper at 2:50 PM EDT on August 7, 2011
These ones i've linked above ARE xma, from the xbox one, I still can't get them to decode, and everyone seems to be ignoring me ;-;

Perfect, kinda learning the signs of the start of a stream now too thanks to that, always seems to be hex value "xx" (x being a wild) then "00 010 00 0x", hard to explain, but i've got a grasp on it now! "2400010004" being an example.
