Super Mario Sunshine Soundtrack by furrybob at 2:03 PM EDT on August 25, 2011
Recently I've done a rip of Super Mario Sunshine because there haven't been any proper rips of it yet.
In all there are 76 tracks including all the Yoshi variations.
I've included FLAC, MP3, and a looped BRSTM set of the soundtrack. Link
While doing this I also found out an easy way to mute all sound effects on certain games. Here are some WiiRd/action replay codes I made for some of the games that I have.
It was all done digitally via Dolphin's low level audio emulation. Game hackery was used to get the Yoshi tracks. (I don't even know if all of those stages have Yoshi available in them.) The Noki Bay Yoshi track even had the wrong instrument set in the bms file, so that must have been left over from earlier in production.
And there were two leftover sequences that weren't quite complete. One of them was the opening demo music in the cutscene that plays if you leave it at the title screen. Two of the required instruments had been removed from the sample banks, although I was able to find them in unused banks. They kinda cheated on the percussion portion of the song. The entire percussion line was composed of a 4-5 second sample played over and over. Although there was a streamed version of that song on the disc that was only slightly different, so not much was lost.
I'm retagging the artist fields to reflect the known track-specific credits, and also changing that semicolon to a comma in the rest of them (to bring it in line with other rips.) if anyone else wishes to do this, it's pretty easy.
the rest are not confirmed. hope i didn't miss any. i think for most of them it's pretty obvious to work out who composed what but i'm not going to speculate here.
I'd like to thank the developers of Dolphin, for getting the low level audio emulation as advanced as they have. And I'd like to also thank FurryBob for imagining up the crazy concept of using it to FINALLY get master-quality rips of this hidden audial treasure! You win INFINITE Internets for this!
Now we wait until a Gamecube/Wii Sound Format surfaces, as well as hardware powerful enough to render it realtime via a Winamp and/or XMPlay plugin... ;)
Yep... now all we need is a full rip of games like Mario Kart Wii, Super Mario Galaxy, Super Mario Galaxy 2, etc. There are songs on the SMG OST that aren't streamed, but there are also bound to be some sequences that aren't in the OST either, such as the variation of 'Megaleg' that plays when you're on the planet, but not Megaleg, himself, or the short looping tune that plays when you first aquire a new ability, or that jingle that plays when you get the spin ability, etc.
Wifi themes? Like when you're in a Friend Roster, in a 'room', in that part where you wait for other players to be found, when the question marks appear around the globe, which then reveal who the players are, etc? And there could be some hidden unused themes, or variations, much like the Yoshi variation of Noki Bay in SMS.
I'm not talking about this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yjkISc-5ZcI
The one I'm referring to is these themes: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DYSsUzIZDB0
The tunes that play on the Wifi menu themes. When I said "waiting", I meant the screen where you see the globe, and wait for the question marks to come up, not when you're waiting for a race.
yes. that is the same one i mean (sorry for the confusion, i meant "wifi waiting" in the sense of waiting for people to join a private game.) anyway both of those songs are in the rip i have... it's just the menu one is dynamic, so all the variations aren't separate songs.
Actually, there is a download able music pack with 101 songs. However most of the songs have noises(Hiss & extra sfx),some songs are lossly and some songs lost some vocie samples.
